SM Therese Ann Parobek, S Margaret Marie Padilla, and S Paula Mary Palasz receive a blessing at Mass on Sunday before leaving on the 100 mile pilgrimage for vocations.
During Mass for the 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew on Oct. 9, 2022, the Diocese honored in a special way the sacred vocation of marriage as Bishop David Walkowiak celebrated the annual Wedding Anniversary Mass. Among the congregation and our online and TV Mass viewership were couples celebrating milestone anniversaries this year from parishes throughout the 11-county diocese. The liturgy included a blessing for married couples. A reception at Cathedral Square Center was held following the Mass.

Family and friends, deacons, and Father Mark Przybysz, director of ministry and life and pastor of St. Anthony were also present for the celebration.
Congratulations to the following men accepted as candidates for the diaconate as well as their wives and families: Gregory Beasley, David Bevins, James Cross, Matthew Dugener, Lawrence Duthler, Fernando Gutierrez, Randy Hodge, Ottoniel Orozco, Michael Schasser, and Wade Yott.
This group is the second class of permanent deacons for the diocese since the deacon formation program was reinstated in 2015 by Bishop Walkowiak.
