Star Wars Weekends was truly a memorable time! Riding Star Tours, meeting the celebrities and characters, making friends, etc!

Sure we to had walk all over creation and stand in lines, but all of that waiting and walking paid off. The parade was really cool, what really caught my eye was the Phase 2 Wolfpack suits along with ARC Trooper Fives and Echo. Darth Revan was really cool too!

We rode Star Tours about 7 times, I wish it had been more…but time doesn't wait for you. We did get a chance to see all of the shows, such as Behind the Force with a NEW Season 5 trailer! Stars of the Saga, Obi Wan and Beyond, and A Visit to the Maul !

We had to arrive at Hollywood Studios two out of the three days at 4:30am in order to retrieve the FASTPASS tickets for the celebrity signings, and boy was it definitely worth the wait! I first met James Arnold Taylor (voice of Obi-Wan), and it was my first time back at SWW so I was a little shaken. He was very nice and patient with me, but we were rushed by the Disney Cast Members so I didn't even get the chance to smile in the picture. So next I met Dee Bradley Baker (voice of CW Clones), I approached him while vlogging so he was trying to read me and see what I was doing. I even got him to say MGF Customs/Reviews in a Clone voice! Later I got the chance to meet Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka) again. I swear, there isn't a nicer person on this planet. She was really kind.

I didn't meet any celebrities on the second day, mainly because my Dad was too tired to get up 2:30am again. So the second day we spent attending shows, meeting characters, and shopping at Darth's Maul.

The third day was easily the best, we got up at 2:30am and headed straight there. We got in line with some pretty decent spots, my sister and I were in Ray Park's line, while my dad was in JAT's. We first rode Star Tours twice in a row, and after breakfast we jumped on JAT's line again at 8am. Not only did the picture come out great, but he basically made my day by saying "Your watching MGF Customs and Reviews, the force is strong here!" in his famous Obi-Wan voice! So afterward we caught up with some fans and headed straight for Ray Park's line. He was really awesome, but tired from all of the shows and everything else that he had been doing for the event. He signed my Phantom Menace section of my Blu-Ray box se, and an extra Darth Maul picture that I had brought along! Then we caught up with a ton of characters, got some pictures, and then were the first in line for James Arnold Taylor's Obi-Wan and Beyond show. There he expressed literally 200+ voices and really showed was he is capable of. Later, we spent the rest of the day on what they called The Dark Side of the park. There we met Darth Vader and Tusken Raiders! We tried to have my sister meet Ashley Eckstein but we didn't plan on it so it didn't really work out.

Later, my sister made me get on line with her to meet Woody and Buzz but then I told her that they would be there until 10pm. So we went to meet Chewbacca and his Ewok friend! We were the LAST in line for Chewbacca for the first weekend! Is that good? Or is that memorable? Chewy hugged me a lot. Right after that, we jumped on Star Tours for the last time. We managed to get glimpse at the Hyperspace Hoopla and even managed to snag a picture with Kit Fisto without waiting in an obnoxious line! Then when Star Wars Weekends 2012 met it's end we went to the Lego Store to pick up some Coruscant parts and the NEW promotional Hulk figure! But there was just something that bothered me about the manager, I don't really know what though…

Finally, with our house only 2 parsecs away…we climbed aboard the Millennium Falcon and set course for home. I was asleep the entire time, but when I woke we had landed right in front of our neighborhood. Fastest two hours ever!

Since starting our YouTube channel, I’ve purchased a few pieces of extra kit to add to my regular camera set up.

The good people from Wotancraft were also generous enough to send over a couple of organising accessories which have proven really useful. They're well worth checking out.

PDW SHADO Pack with Lens Recon Patch (releasing Friday!)

Woohoto iPhone Mount

Wotancraft Coin Pouch for spare batteries

Røde Video Micro Kit

UGreen Lighting to 3.5mm Adaptor

Røde SC& iPhone Adaptor (which you need to attached to a smart phone!) and homemade paracord camera lanyard inside the lens hood

Nikon D3000 (with another Lens Recon Patch)

Wotancraft Zipperless Pocket Module with spare SD cards and camera remote

Nikon f1.8, 35mm Prime Lens – this lives on the camera most of the time

Nikon f3.5-5.6, 18-55mm Kit Lens – this mainly only gets used for wide shots, particularly loadouts as the 35mm requires me to either blind shoot (holding it up in the air) or stand on something to get up high enough – neither is practical in the field!

More loadouts can be found here.

I was trying different settings to see how low ISO I could go but keep the shutter speed high enough as Ozzy moves so much just as I am about to take the picture; something he's always done. He sees the red light or white light depending on settings and cameras, and he moves.

So, I get a lot of blurry shots and have to be aware of the shutter speed. I notice that even with its somewhat fast lens, the ISO jumps up if I try to pick a higher shutter speed. It wasn't bright outside, but it wasn't night time either and I don't understand how I couldn't get a lower ISO for this shot. Yeah, it was kind of dull outside, but not dark. Maybe I should turn off the ND filter for dull light like this. I think that might give me back a stop or two of light to bump up the shutter speed without having to bring up that ISO setting.

I will be experimenting more with this camera. Being so small, and having so many features, it can be a task to set it all right. I have started two assign Custom buttons for my needs. Being that I shoot mostly stills with the occasional video, I set my camera up for quick access to ISO, burst shots, and because I shoot in either shutter priority or aperture priority the lower button on the dial gives me the EV+ and EV- options. In manual mode, (which I also shoot in a lot) that lower button toggles between shutter and f/stop settings.

I dumped the guide on the trash button and assigned the ND filter, so I don't run into this problem mentioned above again. I want quick access to turn off that ND filter when in this dreary dull lighting situation, because it really doesn't need it. One thing about Sony cameras is that there are so many damn menus for the many choices, which can make searching a pain in the ass; even if you are a Sony owner and know your way around. Thankfully I can set up my buttons and even use the memory recall option to switch to something like a macro shot. (I say something like because Sony is not known for macro really.) This camera gets as close as 5cm, but that is not as good as the Canon S95 I have or the Fuji X10 which did a super macro mode. My Sony A6000 also had no real macro, as you had to buy the macro lens to shoot macro shots. Now that I understand. What I don't understand is how a compact camera doesn't have macro in it! That just pisses me off.

Okay, so what do I like about this camera as of now? I like the variety of options and features to use in such a small camera. I like the quality of build, the 4K video, panoramic, HFR, ability to set up my function buttons, the dynamic range is pretty good. The features I must mention again are pretty fantastic for a compact camera, but they come at a huge price. I think this camera is overpriced, but it is the only game in town really. All of the other Vlogging-Type cameras I've checked or used have something missing from them. So although the Panasonic Lumix LX10 has the touch screen, as does the Canon G7X, it doesn't have as many features as the Sony MK5. The Canon doesn't have 4K, if that matters, and the Panasonic Lumix LX10 has had AF issues in keeping a Vlogger in focus. I've seen so many videos where it has failed to lock in focus and goes in and out constantly. ( I really wanted to get that Lumix too!) So although I like the Lumix LX10, I don't think it's quite up to Sony in how great it functions. Also the files don't look as nice in higher ISOs. I don't think they do.

I hear the Sony overheats. I am certain that it does, though I haven't experienced it yet. Again, this is a camera with video features and was never meant to be the number one choice for video, no matter how much everyone wants it to be. There are video cameras for that. Still, Sony needs to address that flaw in their camera. They also need to address battery life which isn't that good either. It isn't as terrible as a Sigma DP Merrill camera, but it isn't good like a Canon S95 camera either. Again, features may dictate the battery drain, and I do believe there are functions that continue when the camera is off which may cause it to drain, same as in the A6000 that I owned. I am too lazy to remember what that was, but I do know I turned off the feature causing it, so I gained back some battery life. (Was it the WiFi access?)

Anyway, the price of this camera needs to come down. It's too much money. But Sony won't do that because it's got consumers by the balls right now knowing it has the best features for its size. And yes they do, so suck it up, butter cup. As vulgar as that sounds, it's business. I get it. Sony does deliver on a pretty good product though. The 1" sensor is pretty darn good, but I wish they'd figure out a way to make it bigger. Yeah, I know. It's a pocket camera. So as a pocket camera it is great, though slippery as hell. I may order that stick on grip. I've almost dropped this sucker a few times and thankfully I had it on my wrist.

In the end, I am keeping the camera because it does resolve my need for a pretty damn good pocket camera that can also do 4K video, selfies and Vlogging. It really is amazing what cameras can do these days, and this is much better than an iPhone or Samsung. I almost just want to use the iPhone as my compact as it's ALWAYS with me. But we all know that once you start blowing up the shots, they turn to shit. This little camera resolves that, and it's small enough to carry everywhere. Seriously. I am even thinking of getting one of those Peak Design clips for when I carry a backpack or bag. As of now, I carry this in a small LowePro pocket camera bag. (It's perfect and you can add an extra battery or SD cards too.) I've also checked out the half cases, but if I get the little grip, it won't need a case at all and I can just chuck this thing in my purse, like I do with it in the LowePro case.

Another thing, smaller cameras are better for me as I am older and want to carry less weight on my poor back or neck. All the older photographers know what I am talking about, which brings me to the next comment.

Sony is the only compact camera with this many features that has an EVF. I am older, and my eyes are not what they used to be. The EVF is a blast to use and it's needed for many shots I take. The Canon and the Panasonic do not have an EVF. The Lumix LX100, a bigger compact, not pocketable, has an EVF, but it made the fatal error of not having an articulating screen and not utilizing the full sensor in the camera. So the size and those omissions made me return it. It's why I keep my Fuji X-T10, because the EVF and the tilting screen are an absolute necessity for me. (Well, that and the retro buttons, Fuji X series lenses and the color of the files make it a joy to use.)

Okay, if I think off any more information about this camera, I will let you know. I am keeping it.

Introducing our new Radius Go 190° LED Light. Learn more: fotodioxpro.com/products/rg1450

Two friends were chatting at the top of Glastonbury Tor. I thought that either or both would make fine strangers but didn't want to break in on their conversation. I overheard that they planned to go half way down and then come up again before going down to meet someone else, perhaps for a coffee. Not wanting to miss my opportunity, I approached and made my pitch: "Excuse me, would it be OK to take your photo? ….".

They agreed. One suggested that the other go first. They both hesitated, then one asked if it would be OK to be photographed together. I might have preferred to photograph each individually, then the two together afterwards. Remembering that they were meeting someone, so they had limited time. Also recognising that they were chatting a great deal, so they wanted to spend time together. It made sense to follow their suggestion. I agreed after but a moment's thought.

Both agreed that they could spare a few minutes and we sat down on the grass, near St Michael's tower. They asked if I would like to hear the story of how they met. They had been to the same schools in their early years, Mollie had gone to live in Australia when she was 12 but it was only when she returned 10 years later that they really became friends. Their families were close but Jade and Mollie did not get to know each other until they found themselves working in the same retail outlet. After this they travelled together and lived in Australia for a year.

Both enjoy keeping fit and Jade told me a little about herself, while Mollie listened. Jade's mum played rounders for England and her dad is a keen cyclist. Jade used to do powerlifting but hurt her back. She mentioned a few other sports, including netball. She told me that she is competitive and trained for netball because she enjoyed winning matches.

Jade wants to go to New Zealand and will travel via Australia. She doesn't go to the gym but keeps fit by cycling. This is good because this helps with her saving, she does not have to pay for gym membership. She also gets to enjoy the countryside and fresh air.

"Oh, I didn't tell you that I have been doing time trials" Jade said. I had imagined that Jade was telling me, then I realised that she was telling her friend. She is doing this with her dad. He started cycling for fitness, 4 years ago and managed to lose 4 stone in weight. Jade's mum has been cycling even longer but Jade told me she streaks past her mum as they go up hill. Though Jade has not been cycling long she has great lower body strength. Mollie said that Jade has strong thighs and Jade agreed.

Jade told me that her bike is broken. She did not admit straight away that it got broken when she fell off. One day recently the chain had got stuck and because she was wearing cleats, she toppled over. As she fell Jade managed to land on her bottom, so she did not get injured. Later she was cycling on a steep hill, when the chain slipped and she fell off again. This time she injured her knee and the bicycle was damaged too. I wondered if her bicycle would be expensive to repair. Jade said that her dad was very good and he would take care of it. The cycling is something that they enjoy doing as father and daughter. A good bonding thing.

Jade commented on how tanned Mollie's skin looked next to her own. Mollie had been travelling in Europe and got a suntan in there.

Mollie practices yoga and enjoys music. I asked if she performs, perhaps she sings. She told me that everyone else in her family sings. They perform in the band Midrod Ends, which was formed by her grandparents in the 60's. Mollie told me that Jade enjoys vlogging and that I should put a link to her YouTube channel, so here it is www.youtube.com/user/Jadeee161193

When we had finished, Mollie said that her boyfriend would be waiting to meet with them. I asked if I might walk down the Tor with them as I was headed back too. They agreed. A little way down, Jade decided that she would like to take a photo of St Michael's tower. She wasn't happy with how the image was looking and I suggested that she might get a better shot from the other side. We walked back up the Tor and Jade took a shot of the tower from the other side. I asked if they would like me to take a shot with them both in front of the tower. I took one of them with Jade's camera.

Jade likes her camera. She uses it for her video's and making a record of memories. She is thinking of doing a project like 365 days of gratitude.

As we started to walk down the Tor, I saw Dainis. He called out to be photographed. I mentioned this to Jade and Mollie and rather than walking down with them, we exchanged goodbyes there. I went back up, to meet Dainis, who is my stranger 394.

Thank you Jade and Mollie for being part of my project. It was good to meet you both today. Best wishes for your future travels and endeavours.

Mollie and Jade are vegans. It was one of the first things they mentioned.

Trying out the macro properties of my new toy: Sony Z-V1. Really impressed so far; surely not "just" a vlogging camera!

Colleen and I are very excited to share a new video series we came up with! "As Told By Dollies" is a satire skit series, where we use our dolly friends to poke fun at ourselves and life. This is all meant in good fun, and most of the jokes actually revolve around the personalities we gave our dolls when we were growing up. I hope you enjoy this new video series--we had a blast filming it and getting back into the minds of our dolls. This episode represents the things people do and say on the internet, interpreted into real life situations.

Hoher Dynamikumfang

Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II boasts faster performance and improved ergonomics

The G7X II is the first PowerShot camera to include the "Fine Detail" Picture Style preset that was introduced in the 5DS/R DSLRs. The preset allows you to fine-tune sharpness settings including strength, fineness and threshold parameters. The resulting image is more natural-looking and has fewer sharpening artifacts than the default settings. To get the most out of the sensor, though, RAW images converted using good software can produce sharp images with more detail than in-camera JPEGs and fewer artifacts.

Canon has done an impressive job with the second iteration of the G7 X.

Good for

Travelers seeking a pocketable camera that performs well in low light and offers good control over depth-of-field.

Not so good for

Peak action and sports photography*.

PS

* SPORTS ??

indem man das Auto-ISO auf "schneller" stellt eignet sie sich sehr wohl für Bewegung, aka sports, animal life and Kids!

Dafür halt etwas mehr Rauschen.

So machen es viele DSLR Kameras auch!

Conclusion

The Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II is a well-designed enthusiast compact that's a pleasure to use.

It offers a versatile focal range, very good image quality, a large buffer for continuous shooting and 1080/60p video capture. Sharpening and noise reduction in JPEGs are heavy-handed.

REVIEW - interessante BEWERTUNG und Hilfe aus DÄNEMARK für die SX70 HS PowerShot

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°--------------------- °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

A short review was published on the Dutch EOSzine site. The Google-translated version in English is

Canon PowerShot SX70 HS

.en translated

by Pieter Dhaeze on Monday 10 December 2018

Image quality

At 20 million pixels on a sensor of 6.4 by 4.8mm you can not expect picture quality of a full-frame (36 by 24mm).

The PowerShot SX70 has relatively little light on every pixel and noise is also unavoidable at lower ISOs.

As we have already said in previous reviews of this SX series, any noise is only 'problematic' above ISO 800 and viewed at 100% in Photoshop.

Now four years later, those specifications come with the PowerShot SX70 HS : 65x optical zoom from 21mm | 5 stops of image stabilization 20 megapixels ISO 3200 | DIGIC 8 HS | tilt-turn LCD screen 7.5 cm (922k) | EVF 2.36M | no hot shoe | C-RAW | P, A, T, M | 4K / 30fps | 0 cm macro Wifi and NFC motor drive 10 fps 4K timelapse video sweep panorama aspect ratio 1: 1 to 16: 9.

Is this the perfect (travel) camera of ~600 grams for just over 500 euros?

Hardly what we are hoping for - a critical review with deep insights -, but I found it interesting to click on the JPG / RAW comparison shots.

Resume

Because the perfect camera does not exist, there is no perfect travel camera. The PowerShot SX70, however, is a very good holiday camera of just over 600 grams, which can bring almost any subject into the picture (photo and video) and surprise its audience unexpectedly.

Together with the 'pocketable' PowerShot G7X mark II (for reporting work in 'low light' situations and for vlogging), it is the perfect travel companion.

Do not go 'pixel tips' with such compact cameras, but watch the photos full-screen,

as you always do with your phone. Then it all looks fine

-

With a minimum focusing distance of 0cm3 and a zoom up to 2730mm (with ZoomPlus), the PowerShot SX70 HS allows users to create beautiful close-ups and stunning wide shots without changing lenses.

Hey guys!

I'm going to be blogging about my first day as a 10th grader! Oh, like Jenna's back to school outfit? She's a 12th grader now, along with most of her friends, FINAL YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL FOR HER! xD

Well, lemme tell you it didn't start off well at ALL. My bus missed me, and I had to run about 3 blocks in combat boots (in and out of my dad's truck). My heels have blisters from a previous shoe, and running in them almost made me cry because of the pain. Now, you guys never met me in person, but as soon as I wake up I'm very cranky. I'm not calm until I listen to my screamo music. Now, my first day of school I'm obviously not going to be too happy at first. My stupid bus driver goes "Oh, who are you? You don't have an official stop." O__e....I had my bus stop set official because I was unable to walk past this woody pass in the morning (lots of bad people creep and stuff ._.) soit as made official last year in 9th grade. So, I flipped on him. Yes, I could have handled it better than saying "Why not actually pay attention to the fucking road instead of blaring he radio and maybe you'll notice your damn kids running to the damn bus stop!!!" but I have a temper. And I'm not afraid to use it. For the rest of the bus ride everyone was making fun of me and some bitchy priss kept flicking my head. People REALLLYdon't unrtand my temper. I turned around, and told her to go blow one of her manwhore boyfriends. She shut up reaalll quick. >.>

As soon as I walked in a few of my friends were hiding away from the new freshie class xD But anywhore, I saw Blondie and ER MAI GERD. He said hi to me and hugged me. But, it gets better. Instead of just letting go, he put his arm around my shoulder and KEPT IT THERE. All I was thinking was "ehfberiufggeghefhew fergwehgferohgb ewhgowuhefgvej" xD But, he has a girlfriend so I can't think much of it...But hey, I'M ONE STEP CLOSER TO GETTING RID OF HER....MUAHAHHA AH HAHAHA ah haha...haha....heh...eh..yeah ._.

My first class is Basic Geometry. EW. I hate it. My teacher is like, bipolar...No offence to bipolar people, but it was like, really scary...She was fine one minute and then the next she flipped shit on all of us. And, I'm stuck sitting next to this real prissy bitch. She treats me like shit all the freaking time! Gah, I hate that class -.-

Second period is Spanish. I was really expecting a horrible time, but my teacher is really yound and nice! She said she liked my shirt :D And, since a lot of us aren't good at Spanish she said she will take it nice and slow. Woo! It's only my third time taking Spanish, but the last time I took it was 8th grade o-o. I have two of my friends in that class, Megan #2 and Maddie :D

Third period is Concert Choir. THANK GOD. We have about 30 kids in our class, when last year we had about 12 xD I was really excited, because I have my friend Amber (not the one in the photo xD a different one), Marissa, Dephfane, Shannon, Jackie, and Arianna in my class. I'm only close to Arianna, but the rest are really nice to me and we do talk in choir alot. We did this intro game here we had to pick a song (from a bucket) and everyone would sing the 4 different songs at once. The only way to communicate was by song, and we had to find everybody singing it. Oh God, it was hectic xD But, after found my group, Marissa, Dephfane, and I all were rapping Row Row Row Your Boat xD!

Forth period is English. ER MAI GERD. I ALREADY LOVE MY TEACHER. He used to help direct movies (He helped make Avatar!) And he didn't like it anymore so he went to be a teacher, He also runs the creative writing club :3 We really didn't do much, just talked abut what to expect. He's really funny too ^-^ Oh, and I have Ange an Lexie in that class :33

Fifth is Contempt. Issues. It's prett much talking and debting on current events. It's really fun actually. I have my friend Aleigha in that class, and it was quit iteresting. We started to talking about the death penalty and abortion, and soon we will be ablke to have a little debate for a class :) Personally, I believe in- haha, not saying :) It's a really awesome class actually!

Sixth is stupid Gym. I hate it. If I don't play, I get a "monor offence. I won't really explain what that is, but two minors equala major, and that will give you an office detention, ISS (in schol suspension), or OSS (out of schol suspension). My teacher is a real bitch, and she already picked on me. I have Caitlin, Tiffani, and Aleigha (again) in that class. It's going to be Hell. I'm NOT althetic, and I get hurt easily. Because of my history of clumsiness, people pick on me n gym and PURPOSLY throw the ball at my face. I've had the wind knocked out of me 3 times last year, along with a black eye. And trus me,THE TEACHERS DON'T DO A DAMN THING. BWAH.

And finally seventh is Biology. I have a really awesome teacher that I already know, and we get to do experiments twice a week. YEAHHH BUDDY. We get to do a dinosaur prioject at the end of the year, and it's supposed to be awesome. I'll totally feel like a 1st grader xD But yeah....I only have Storm in that class, but he's a really cool kid to talk to.And plus this hot kid sits next to me. xD

And that's how my school day went. The bus ride was better, but my bus driver now hates me. OH WELL. I know, it ws out of whack to say something like that, but if you were running 3 blocks in combat boots, freaking in pain, you would understand...xD

This was a rREALLLLLYYY long blog...LOL xD Anywhore, I'll talk to you guys later! Oh yeah, if one more person asks me about the results I'll flip. No joke. I'M WORKING ON IT. >.< Kay byee! xD

Seems like every album newly created, I will not run away with wifey’s selfie shot taking. It slowly becomes one of the mandate things to do while wifey doing her own selfie for the site photo taking to showcase her own little travel album.

Indeed what you see is correct, she got herself a gimbal. Due to the previous shaky videos experience during our previous trip. Initially we thought of borrowing if someone has it, people around us not really have the gear. So after number of asking around, ended up she made up her mind and gave me a little assignment, to review the current efficient gimbal as of today and finalize which one would suit us for her usage especially selfie (replacing the selfie stick and vlogging) also dive-in doing videography if possible.

Picked up a few brands and start doing review on different brands, and respective models themselves, to summarize which will be the best fit for our coming travel shot. So far what I’ve studied, the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 felt even more compact and space-saving is the main factor. Cause when come to travelling, space is always the main issue for both of us. As you know our theme apparels trying to match the itinerary especially on-site shooting, so with the latest and greatest Osmo Mobile 3 it has the very compact folding mechanism which makes it easy to put in her handbag also my top easy-access camera bag.

I always said “I am always got the lucky shot..” and I meant it, in my personal photography experience, sometimes I can design how to frame it in my mind but when comes to outdoor onsite experience, really depending on one thing. The weather, it is very crucial to me. I need the natural light source, as we don’t have the massive gears Speedlight flash reflective umbrella and similar relative products to produce artificial light when the sun hiding from the clouds. It will affect the photo quality significantly when the lights dimmer. Some might say you can do it in the photoshop, when you can pick up the perfect light on-site, why bother to do it after shot? To me, the natural light source still the best light source ever.

I love this photo, I mean entirely feeling. From her apparel, her expression, her posture and the backdrop, they blend in so well... I must say, credit goes to wifey for her apparels arrangement for every site she planned, I just try to match her color theme whenever it is possible. We have our own job scope when come to travel self-photography, from itinerary we picked, at times we need to shop around for the colour matching apparels, if we can’t find the match, we tried the closest and that’s part of our preparation before the actual days come.

Good for

Travelers seeking a pocketable camera that performs well in low light and offers good control over depth-of-field.

Conclusion

The Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II is a well-designed enthusiast compact that's a pleasure to use. It offers a versatile focal range, very good image quality, a large buffer for continuous shooting and 1080/60p video capture.

..

Canon has done an impressive job with the second iteration of the G7 X.

Continuous tracking and panning;

- fast Raw burst modes.

Excellent Raw Image quality and in-camera tool for Raw converting to JPEG single photo or many in a batch.

Silver Award 81% - ( ab 85 % Gold)

RAW

www.golem.de/news/powershot-g7-x-ii-im-test-canon-versuch...

Laut DXO

Sony RX100 Mark V

• No improvement to image quality from Mark IV

• Poor signal-to-noise ratio over ISO 800

• Good dynamic range up to ISO 1600

• Good color sensitivity up to ISO 1600

DXOmark für G7 X Mark II fehlt leider, müsste aber höher als die G7 X I sein!

www.dpreview.com/reviews/canon-powershot-g7-x-mark-ii-rev...

G7 X II promised a better user experience and a more versatile 24-100mm equivalent F1.8-2.8 lens.

The benefit of both the sharpening and NR parts of the new engine is better detail retention at higher ISOs, with an ISO 1600 shot from the G7 X Mark II shot showing as much detail as an ISO 800 shot from the G7 X.

Also ein ISO-Stop besser.

PROS +

• Fast lens with useful 24-100mm equiv. range

• Very good image quality (especially from Raw)

• Excellent color rendition

• Fast burst shooting with deep buffer, even with Raw

• Tilting touchscreen LCD

• Touchscreen makes tap to focus (and track) painless, even in video

• Surprisingly good depth tracking

• Much-needed grip makes camera easy to hold

• Built-in ND filter - Auto mode

• In-camera Raw conversion

• Competitive video quality

• External charger included in addition to support for USB charging

The G7 X Mark II continues to offer a built-in ND filter, which allows you to make the most of that fast aperture in bright light.

Like the G5 X, the ND filter can be set to engage automatically as needed, an improvement over the G7 X.
