The wine was fermented under very cold conditions to retain the natural aromatic characteristics of the Traminer variety. This wine was vintaged from Riesling grapes grown at Lindeman's "Ben Ean" and "Sunshine" vineyards in the Pokolbin area of the Hunter River Valley, N.S.W. It is a fresh, well flavoured, delicate Riesling, having an attractive grapey bouquet with a soft, round character on the palate, and pronounced Hunter character. This wine was awarded: Silver medal 1970 Brisbane Show as a 1969 Vintage Hock and may be enjoyed now or cellared away for many years for further maturity."
