Label reads:" 1981 EDEN VALLEY RHINE RIESLING This wine typifiies the philosophy of Krondorf Winemakers Grant Burge and Ian Wilson which is to produce high quality table wines exhibiting distinct area and varietal Characteristics Each year only the highest quality Rhine Riesling grapes from the Eden Valley area are selected to produce this wine. The high altitude of the Eden district ensures cooler ripening conditions giving wines of elegance and finesse. Using controlled temperature techniques the winemakers were careful to capture maxium flavour and aroma from the grape variety. The wine was bottled in July 1981 and has been held in the cool Krondorf Cellars allowing it to settle and mature prior to release It shows elegance of style typical of the Eden Valley region and will continue to improve with further bottle maturation for two to three years.

Cabernet Sauvignon produces wines with rich colour, complex, bouquet and a flavoursome palate with soft astringency. Palate: A full bodied wine with good depth of flavour, rich in colour with soft fine grained tannins. Chocolate and earthy flavours meld with an underlay of vanillin American oak. Cellaring: Bin 4000 has been aged in small barrels and bottle matured before release. Rewarding drinking now but stored correctly this wine will continue to develop until 2007.
