Theatre, dance, music, film, and visual arts come together in one place. Students and seasoned professionals perform side-by-side--their work is a culmination of workshops, rehearsals, and collaborations across disciplines. This is the purpose and the realization of Edgemar Center for the Arts.
We provide a physical environment that nurtures the collaboration between writers, directors, actors, musicians, dancers, and visual artists. Because our focus is on the creative process, our classes and productions actively mix together people of all ages and levels of experience to create an environment of learning.
"The Night of the Black Cat" takes place on one magical night when some of France's most famed artists travel through time to entertain in the salon of Germaine de Stael. It's a provocative, fun-filled musical set in the French Cabaret “Le Chat Noir” in Paris 1881, featuring forbidden poetry, passionate dancing and sensual music. The show is an original work based on themes that resonated through the Parisian café in the years after its opening. Experience a taste of a revolutionary artistic movement set in the watering hole of the world’s most influential artists including George Sand, Jane Avril, Edith Piaf, Picasso and other luminaries. The Night of the Black Cat is a mystical, magical, and sensual night.

A collaborative, visual project which encourages you to sign out a Visual Library Book and ‘Leave Your Mark’.
A Visual Library Book is whatever you want it to be, a sketchbook, a journal, a diary, a notepad.
You can ‘Leave Your Mark’ in whatever way you want, ranging from drawing, writing, sewing, adding photographs, markings, printing and sticking. How you make your marks is entirely up to you. All we ask is that you have fun with the different themes. Just borrow it on your library card with other books and materials. If you are not already a member, just ask the staff to help you.
45 Visual Library Books have been placed in Portsmouth Central Library and each has its own theme ranging from; Portsmouth, My City, When I Open My Eyes, Whilst I Was Waiting, Love, What’s in My Pocket and Memories. The intention is for you to feel free to explore the Visual Library Books and choose a theme that you like.

The Department Started a Photography Club for the students perusing their UG and PG at Nehru arts and science college-VISCOM department . Today we are blessed with the presence of renowned Photographer Mr. Richard Antony as the chief guest for the function.
The students also arranged a photography exhibition which was inaugurated by Richard Antony.
Richard Antony is a commercial Fashion photographer based out of Kochin Kerala. His other work include Wedding photography, Underwater photography Richard has been a favorite photographer among celebrities.
He is among the first who started underwater photography in India
There were 3 or 4 of these with documentaries running on tv's relating to logging and rural life in NZ. Very interesting.

Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville, Tennessee. The Art Deco style Post Office building was constructed in 1934 as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project. The building served as a post office into the 1990s, first as Nashville’s Main U.S. Post Office and later as the Downtown Branch Post Office. It became an art museum in 2001.
In 1984 the former post office building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP No. 84000580 as the United States Post Office).
Next up after the huge mobile over the River Wear was Visual Illusion, near St. Oswald's Church. This reflects shapes found in and around Durham Cathedral.
The moderators at PechaKucha Night Tokyo Volume 77 which was held at SuperDeluxe in Tokyo October 28. This PechaKucha was "design-only", since Tokyo Design Week starts this Friday, October 29.

After seeing the young and beautiful Sarah Hyland (Haley in Modern Family) captured in a black and white frame in the closing credits of the episode ispy i thought i would put up some of my classic black and white scanned 35mm shots taken with my Nikon F ( circa 1977),,, these are traditional still film images and in a world now of "everyone's a photographer" and terrible grainy endless digital selfies these are timeless images which will stand the test of time,,of course the same before mentioned substandard photography will probably be viewed on an equally substandard 4' i phone screen as people have now replaced decent screens for viewing half decent photography like mine,,, Riviera Visual Digital Dymamics on Facebook / DeviantArt / Flickr / YouTube / Redbubble ,,, and,, Not at all on Instagram !!!
