I was hoping to get a bit of a lens flare with this lens. I wasn't able to see the straight line flares until I uploaded it to Lightroom. I like the effect.

Oxalis articulata, known as pink-sorrel, pink wood sorrel, windowbox wood-sorrel, chari amilo, sourgrass, netho saag is a perennial plant species in the genus Oxalis native to temperate South America. It has been introduced in Europe in gardens and is now naturalized in these areas. The plant is susceptible to rust.
Standing about a foot tall...they'd make a fair feast if they were edible. Best not chance it though!! 😬

February 1, 2025 and we are already getting flowers.
Wikipedia:
Commonly known as hellebores (/ˈhɛləbɔːrz/), the Eurasian genus Helleborus consists of approximately 20 species of herbaceous or evergreen perennial flowering plants in the family Ranunculaceae, within which it gave its name to the tribe of Helleboreae. Many hellebore species are poisonous.
Despite common names such as winter rose, Christmas rose, and Lenten rose, hellebores are not closely related to the rose family (Rosaceae).
Photographed with a Helios 44-2 58mm f/2.0 lens from the USSR. Very interesting and fun lens to use.
Passion Flower: Incense
We have six of these planted along our back fence. They should be quite stunning when they fill in. The fragrance is as beautiful as the blossom.

These are growing in a big clay pot on our back deck and doing well. The wind we have been having has tried to destroy them but they keep bouncing back.

Bidens laevis is a species of flowering plant in the daisy family known by the common names larger bur-marigold and smooth beggarticks. It is native to South America, Mexico, and the southern and eastern United States. It grows in wetlands, including estuaries and riverbanks.
Bidens laevis is similar in appearance to its relative Bidens cernua and the two are sometimes confused. This is an annual or perennial herb growing over 20 centimeters tall and sometimes much taller, exceeding one meter in height and sometimes approaching two. The narrow lance-shaped leaves are 5 to 15 centimeters long, with finely toothed edges and pointed tips. The inflorescence bears one or more flower heads which bend down as they become heavy with fruit after flowering. Each head has a center of yellow disc florets and a fringe of 7 or 8 yellow ray florets each up to 3 centimeters long. The fruit is a dry achene with sharp barbs that adhere to fur and clothing, thus helping the plant with seed dispersal.

I seem to photograph this a lot. It is one of my favorite plants and is right off our back deck. It attracts hummingbirds, bees, butterflies and all sorts of pollen collecting insects.

I haven't used this lens much since I purchased it, I like the images that it produces so I will get it out more often.
