The beach at Vik, the most southerly point of iceland. the sand's black as it's very close to a volcano. a suprising find just behind me at the top of a cliff was the now abandoned bbc4 shipping forcast monitoring station for the icelandic waters.

Yes, it is a Volkswagon hood ornament, made by Driffus and Nanuk. Painted gold and bejeweled. Attached to his Knights Chain, A very serious symbol of status.
