Heading toward late afternoon, the sun flashes a wild dogwood on the farm. Thanks for the look and have a great evening.

A slight departure (or hark back to some earlier work from many years ago). Never the less the scene caught my eye and is indeed a vignette of my beloved city. The story of the Tortoise and Hare came to my mind also as I saw the scene unfold

Youghal May 23. IT was all about the colour, strong shapes and of course light and shadow when I saw this scene

Backlit against lace curtain with added light vignette.

I've been busy creating 12 Festive Builds for the Brickfanatics Website I've also added a few lines of cheesy verse to accompany each vignette.

Built on a 8x8 plate, which is always a challenge, but a joy once complete.

Vignettes of Cork. The no. 5 ballon caught my eye as i was walking, so i felt compelled to try and make a frame.

Once the eye sees the primary subject I was then enjoyed how the double yellow line continues around the corner and leads the viewer on a journey out of the scene (but perhaps that just me 😊)

Some tree flowers, shamelessly overprocessed.

Doors and signs seems to feature prominently in my visual lexicon it seems. So why not combine both ? :)

Lime soda from the top...apart from the flavour and nutrients, this can help keep you hydrated.

Happy Sunday @All!

More parking signs, strong shapes and colour - Youghal May 23

You would think this photo had been converted into black and white but no I have only changed the levels and add a vignette, it was a rather gray day we went to the beach.

Definitely not sunbathing weather.

A ubiquitous scene as one drove through Provence mid summer 22. Clear blue skies, golden crop in the field and random trees and their shadows offering a third visual element to feast on

Vignettes of Cork : Dec 22

Backstreets of Provence (Valensole)

The old hut in Ashridge forest

This weeks Flickr Friday subject was completely in my ball park. #TheLivesofOthers was primed for street photography so what did I do? Go to a book store of course!

Have produced an old school post process with a very heavy vignette in Lightroom and I think the outcome is ok. On another note Charles Dickens had eight separate biographies on sale. Impressive.

The reflection in the water created a sort of natural vignette which I found pleasing!

A bit of natural vignette from shooting through the chain link, plus a bit of my own.

An "ex works" GE gets turned on the turntable after coming out of the shops.

CSX Cumberland Locomotive Shop, Cumberland, Maryland.

This image was created with the AI App WOMBO Dream, edited in Photoshop Elements. It is not so much a story that follows, as an explanation, in a vague and abstract way. With some of these odd images, I thought I would write a little vignette of imagination . . . or not. :) So check it out in the first comment and maybe there is a story!

June 23. Shapes, colour, light on the streets of Cork. Attempting to see and represent in a clean and minimalist manner

Another retail shot looking from the flowers in one room vignette into another.

Isle of Lewis and Harris : MAR 23. Each morning as we would leave the hotel we would stop at the local shop for "provisions" for the day. I noticed this vibrant yellow building with its wonderfully saturated colours. So of course if felt compelled to capture an image.

This picture may not be to everyone’s taste but it’s to me… It captures the essence of Paris in a single shot. Also, I like very much the multilayered composition of the image – Av. du Président Kennedy, Paris, France.

Available for The Seasons Story's winter round, the Winterview Vignette is a 17LI mesh window seat photo set with 2 pillows included. 7 sitting poses. Wall is tintable and/or texturable.

Kinsale Sept 15. A portent from the past that gave a hint of a future project i.e Vignettes / Beauty in the ordinary. Re-edited in May 23

The patchwork of colour, the nice lighting and the contortions one must perform when laden down by bags etc to press the pedestrian crossing button all combined to make me want to capture this little Vignette of Cork (Macroom a smaller town outside the main city)
