I came across this abandoned, very textured dock that caught my eye while i was walking around Lake griffen in Florida. The sky was looking grayish but absolutely gorgeous. It was a shot worth capturing.

Sunrise in the Island of the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park.
As the sun began to rise, a distinct separation of color appeared in the sky, with warm tones of orange and violet to the north complimented by cooler hues of blue to the east. It was my first look at the vast landscape of Canyonlands National Park and sparked an instant love for the area.
My compositional choice was to show some of the vegetation and rock texture of the park while leading into the incredible sky we were given this morning.

This is a close up of the main roads from the Burj Khalifa 124th floor. This is the tallest building of the world and the views here are just mesmerising. I bought tickets for the Sunrise at the top of the Burj Khalifa which are about AED 125 (roughly £25) and the experience is great. Even though it's quite early in the morning (6am), the place is empty and is really easy to get to. My advice is to get there early by taxi as it will leave you really close to the building door (within 20min walk). The Burj Khalifa sits on top of the largest mall in the world so expect to walk a lot!.

I haven't been out travelling for a while and we decided to have a quick break before the baby gets born. One of our ever wanted escapes was to Menorca in Spain. A really small island in the Baleares Islands and with loads to explore and discover. The weather was quite nice and I managed to get this impressive capture from the Xoroi Cave (Cova d'en Xoroi). This spectacular scenery can be seen for just 10€ and it also includes a drink in the bar. The location is superb and it's a must see.

One of my favourite stations featured in the film Walter Mitty. This is 125 street with Harlem and I was able to get this shoot with my 85mm F1.8 handheld. I hope you like it. You all know how much I love taking pictures of the underground.

All the stations had these long scalators lit by lights in the pictures. This made capturing the picture much more difficult as the camera doesn't know what you are trying to get and it gives you a bad reading. Hopefully I'm experienced enough to master this light.

Another of the must-to-do things in the island is to book a sunset cruise. It's about 6h long for about 100€ per person. The tour starts in the south of the island and they go through the west of it going to several places. The waters are calm so there is no way you get sea sick over there as the movement is quite mild. On the way back you'll be able to experience a nice sunset.

Star trails over Zabriskie Point. Facing West with a ultra wide. Star Staxed with StarStax. The night sky time lapse was shot over Dante's View the night prior during a bright moon. The foreground shot in the early morning blue hour prior to sunrise.
Much later in the year I attempted the StarStax star trails under very dark skies. Because there were so many stars it dominates the entire scene. Whereas, under a brighter moon fewer stars allow more balance of the sky and textures of the ground.
