This is part of one of the challenges we are running in the London Photowalk Crew group. It's a 30 day photochallenge where day 13 is just something touristy...and I think I just managed to capture the moment in Canary wharf when a couple was taking a picture and they managed to stay still for more than 5s.

Never tired of this city and what it has to offer. Today I went in a walk with some of my friends from Spain and I brought them on top of the mall to see St. Paul's cathedral. I couldn't help myself and I had to stop there for a second and take this picture I always wanted to take. It's a bracketed picture (3 takes) and then HDR merged. I hope you like it.

Winter hike on the Falls Trail with my hiking and photography companion, Lori Deiter.
We hiked Glen Leigh (up to Shawnee Falls) and Ganoga Glen (up to Ganoga Falls). I quick-checked Adams Falls, but only snapped an iPhone pic of it.

Inspired by one of my favorite's film of all times, we decided to go with Pulp Fiction theme. We prepared all the things that we needed and performed the photo shot with few lights. The picture was taken with my 35mm F1.8, handheld and with natural light on the side plus two additional lights to get the correct light on the model's face. I hope you like it.

This picture was taken during our visit to Les Miserables at Queen's theater. The location of the sits was superb and we managed to see the whole play exceptionally well. Those sits were our lucky numbers as we got good ones. The play is superb and a must-see.

First light on an icy Lake Tiorati in Harriman State Park. A beautiful spot for fall photography, but equally compelling in winter. With the unseasonably warm temps we've been having, there has been an increasing chance of morning fog. Always a great element to capture the mood of a sunrise.

It was quite weird. It was really cloudy with some patches of light going through. Notice the capture where the guy is walking down the bridge with a really strong and harsh sun light that can't even let him look straight. At least it was a great addition for my collection.

Here one of the pictures from our newborn photo session. I must say it is quite complicated as the child will never do what you ask and the idea you had from the beginning about the shot will definitely vary the moment the child poses in front of the camera. We used the sunset as a backlit light and I had a flash on the left to brighten up a bit the cute model. The overall picture seems ok, but I still need to practise more and see If I can get better ones. Shot with my 85mm, handheld and F1.8 as usual.

Slip Sliding Away (8770)

Imagine walking carefully on a flat white valley floor completely aglow from the light of a full moon on a whisper-quiet evening. That is Racetrack Playa in Death Valley N.P., CA, far from anywhere, and utterly enchanting. For the longest time, none of us were sure these mysterious stones left these tracks while sliding across the parched desert floor. Although we know now, it's still magical.

I met up with my friend Lance Keimig (National Parks At Night) and a beautiful group of people in DVNP. We went out late nights to photograph the amazing sites. This was my last photo of the evening, as it was cold and others had retreated to the car or were packing up. I knew I didn't have enough time for star trails, so I set the camera to a shorter exposure. I ran around, illuminating the rock and the flat white ground with white and red light from my handheld flashlight while the tripod-mounted camera shutter remained open.
