Inspired by one of the books I'm reading now, I decided to do a similar shot for my challenge (Book cover). Even if it seems easier, it doesn't. The position of the hands and the face needs to be in the perfect position and the lighting also. Overall a great experience and always learning new tricks for better pictures.

Winter hike on the Falls Trail with my hiking and photography companion, Lori Deiter.
We hiked Glen Leigh (up to Shawnee Falls) and Ganoga Glen (up to Ganoga Falls). I quick-checked Adams Falls, but only snapped an iPhone pic of it.

Inspired by one of my favorite's film of all times, we decided to go with Pulp Fiction theme. We prepared all the things that we needed and performed the photo shot with few lights. The picture was taken with my 35mm F1.8, handheld and with natural light on the side plus two additional lights to get the correct light on the model's face. I hope you like it.

This picture was taken during our visit to Les Miserables at Queen's theater. The location of the sits was superb and we managed to see the whole play exceptionally well. Those sits were our lucky numbers as we got good ones. The play is superb and a must-see.

First light on an icy Lake Tiorati in Harriman State Park. A beautiful spot for fall photography, but equally compelling in winter. With the unseasonably warm temps we've been having, there has been an increasing chance of morning fog. Always a great element to capture the mood of a sunrise.

It was quite weird. It was really cloudy with some patches of light going through. Notice the capture where the guy is walking down the bridge with a really strong and harsh sun light that can't even let him look straight. At least it was a great addition for my collection.

Here one of the pictures from our newborn photo session. I must say it is quite complicated as the child will never do what you ask and the idea you had from the beginning about the shot will definitely vary the moment the child poses in front of the camera. We used the sunset as a backlit light and I had a flash on the left to brighten up a bit the cute model. The overall picture seems ok, but I still need to practise more and see If I can get better ones. Shot with my 85mm, handheld and F1.8 as usual.

Portrait session.
Session at Forte de Cabedelo in Brazil. The light was rapidly going down and the fort has really nice windows to play with as the light goes through this grid shape where you can cast a nice shadow/light on the model. Using exposure lock I got correctly lit the model and everything else a bit underexposed which gives the mood to the photo.

The last moments of light collide with the remnants of a passing storm to create a dramatic sunset in Dragonfly Canyon (aka Culvert Canyon).
From waterfalls to interesting rock reflections, to an open view of the Colorado River winding through the canyon, Dragonfly Canyon had so much to offer. Our final destination on the trail brought us to a sweeping view of the Colorado River winding through the canyon. The glow from the setting sun on the storm clouds created a beautifully cinematic scene.

Photo session in Calella de Palafrugell (Girona). Nice location for a photo shot. The day was a bit cloudy which helped a lot to reduce the shadows. Great location for any photo session. Always with my 85mm, natural light and handheld.

Sunrise at an old fishing pier in Siesta Village.
Not quite as dramatic as a composition facing east during sunrise, but equally enticing with the tropical tones and subtle color shifts as light reflected off the clouds and ocean.
This was an area that filled quickly as the day progressed, as most of Siesta Beach does, but very peaceful during the early morning hours.
