Tim and I made a return to Ricketts Glen on Thursday. Going against our better judgement, we hiked "the loop" counter-clockwise. It ended up being the best thing to do photography-wise.

We spent a couple of days just wandering around the metro stations and I must say I was really impressed. Loved the place and the architecture and I'm sure I'll be back soon for more.

Today was about learning a bit of Wine making and the fermentation process. We decided to spend the morning in one of the vineyards in l'Empordà called "la Vinyeta", a really young and innovative place where the different kind of wines are really nice and sweet. We did some tour over the vineyards and then a taste of the actual products. Overall a great experience. I managed to get one of the pictures that I always wanted with the barrels. These barrels are made of a special wood (oak) brought from other countries to leave the wine rest for a while.

During our weekend in the forest, many of these scenarios were seen by my eye and I couldn't resist the temptation of using my legos to explain the feeling of "exploration" that crossed my mind so many times. We decided not to use common roads and went through the deep forest to find gems like the one in the photo. I hope you like it.

Another one, with a landscape format and some vintage editing.
I used a bit of photoshop for the cigarette smoke using some brushes from www.brusheezy.com/brushes/1830-real-smoke-photoshop-brushes
Please bear in mind that this is a photo montage, no real cigarettes have been used here. These are fake cigarettes with fake smoke.

Merry Christmas, everyone.
This is one of my older composites; background is Mt Baldy in LA County, shot it from the passenger seat window on the 10 while coming home from a weekend in Lake Arrowhead. Field is from here in Pennsylvania, so are the trees. Kids were photographed in our back yard when we still lived in Lancaster, CA and I made the stars in GIMP. Just goes to show you that you don't need to download other people's stock images for your composites once you have compiled enough of your own collection for yourself:)

In just a few weeks she was able to master the bike with confidence. we spent a month on the balance bike and then when switching into the pedal bike it literally took her 15min. very proud moment there.

Maternity session. This session was quite special as it was my first maternity one and it was quite challenging. The model is laying down (believe it or not in her 9th month of pregnancy) while the husband is just throwing leaves in the air and while they fall down I try to capture the moment. The picture has been taken with a prime lenses 85mm f1.8G hand held and with natural light. I love winter because of the variety of colours nature offers and how the dried leaves look. Let's all cheer for Goretti and Marc and that everything goes fine with they baby boy Asier.

The new futuristic tunnel recently opened in Canary Wharf. The One Canada Square tunnel connects to the roof garden which is quite good. Can't wait to get my tripod and go there again to get more interesting pictures.

Photo session in Greenwich park. The sun was going down and I used an off-camera flash to lit the model while she is trying to show the Olympus trip 35mm, a film camera that I usually carry around and that takes really good pictures. We played a lot with it so I'm waiting to finish the shots (about 10 left) and produce them..can't wait. I hope you enjoy it.

One of our photo sessions in this magical forest in Cornwall. After exploring the area for few days, we found the best place for our pictures, it was like a dream, one of those forest taken from a tale, where the fairies will come out in no time. More pictures soon.
