Soft light on the Eastern portion of the Hudson Highlands captured from Pitching Point on Crow's Nest Mountain.
Conditions didn't look promising as the sky was mostly filled with cloud approaching sunset. For a brief moment, seconds really, the sun peaked through as it touched the horizon and lit the mountains on the eastern shore of the Hudson. Patience and persistence to stay with a composition until the bitter end was the lesson learned on this shoot. Something I seem to often forget, but usually pays off when I resist the urge to move on.

Early morning hours at Indian Brook Falls in Garrison, NY.
Greenery and waterfalls this time of year are amazing with all of the spring rain we have had. Unfortunately, this will be a different story in just a few months, at least regarding the water flow. Get out and enjoy them while you can!

This is one of the most must-see sunsets in Menorca from the Far de Cavalleria (Lighthouse of Cavalleria). You can wait there and relax until the sun goes down. A really impressive nature event that you have to see. I left the camera on top of a rock and left the settings ready to get it right. F22 and 1/15s just to get the sun flares.

This last challenge was about creating a portrait with a bit of creativity. For my latest portrait I used 2 nice assistants that were ready with the leaves while the model was just there standing and preparing the pose. We tried different combinations and this one was the winner. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Après avoir raté un coucher de soleil, mon frère et moi retournons à Ambialet pour tenter de nous rattraper sur l'heure bleue...

Entre Albi et les gorges du Tarn, la vallée dessine ici une boucle de trois kilomètres formant une impressionnante presqu’ile rocailleuse. Ambialet se niche sur cette langue de terre et dévoile son panorama spectaculaire. Des Celtes aux comtes de Toulouse en passant par la croisade contre les albigeois, cette situation géographique a incité les hommes à venir s’y réfugier et y installer leur pouvoir.
