Storm day, the streets of Manhattan were full of snow and there was no easy way to cross the street. You had to be really well prepared and we were not. Luckily for some, they enjoyed the snow and walking through it.

Ending the year in the beach is one of the most fascinating things I've ever done. Having lived all my life in Europe I couldn't even imagine what it is to spend Christmas and New Years eve in a really warm place. It totally changes yours perspective.

Always that I go back home, I can't avoid taking this picture. This time a semi long-exposure one with just 2s long to get the correct light and colours from the exposure. As there are loads of light pollution you can see that on the colours.

Blue hour at Dragonfly Canyon in Moab, Utah.
A scene that I discovered out of the corner of my eye while shooting the colors of sunset to the right. I decided on a vertical composition to frame the moon and emphasize the contrast of the cool tones of the sky with the warmth of the canyon rock.

Long exposure shoot of the docks. There is such a vibrant atmosphere that it's irresistible to spend hours there looking at the beautiful landscape. The water was so still that the reflections were almost perfect.

This is what happens when you are trying to take a picture of something with your 35mm at F1.8 and suddenly a cat appears in front of you hehe. As you can see shooting with F1.8 I was only able to get his nose sharp.

This is a long exposure picture that took me a while to get. We waited for several minutes until we got our desired subject. The man in the photo stood there for nearly 20 min, allowing us to set up camp there with the camera and observe him closely. Then we started taking several shoots until the desired result which was most of the people blurred but him. Our patience paid off and we got what we wanted. I blurred also the background to avoid distractions as he is the star of the photo.

Parti en espérant faire de belles photos de ce magnifique endroit, je n'avais pas prévu les marées. Honte sur moi ! La marée haute étant en plein milieu de la nuit, je n'avais la mer ni le matin, ni le soir. J'ai malgré tout pu faire ce cliché qui ne montre pas les ponts de bois bien connu de ce petit port de pèche mais qui au final, ne rend pas trop mal. Moralité, il faut prévoir les heures de levé et de couché de soleil mais aussi la position de l'eau au moment opportun....

The late-day golden light was illuminating the striking finger-like pinnacles of Hondu Arch perched above the rugged canyons of the San Rafael Swell in Utah when I took this shot from the opposite side of the canyon. In the distant background, the peaks of the Henry Mountains rose against a blue sky beneath some scattered clouds. It was a unique experience to feel the solitude of being alone for days in such a vast and barren landscape. During my time there, I was cautious not to slip and fall from a cliff, get struck by a rattlesnake or scorpion, or anything else that would require attention... help was a long ways away!
