Blackingstone rock has steps to allow access to the top. Some consider the steps are unsightly, but there is a superb 360° view from the top. This photo is looking west.
Presque Island lighthouse is open on weekends during the summer for visitors to take the stairs, 78, to the top & enjoy the view of Lake Erie.
If ever visiting the Farao Islands...this is a ";Must See" location. Just getting there is an adventure. By car it is via a tunnel. By foot it is via the old "postman route" over the mountains.... which isn't that old at all, as only In 2004 a tunnel was blasted through the rock, and made it possible to drive through by car.

Found myself on a back road along a ridge top east of Tigerton, WI...stopped and watched the show for a while. A bunch of deer kept me company and the owls were hooting away as the lights danced...
The clouds you can see along the bottom eventually shut me down for the night, but it was sweet while it lasted. Taken very early on September 1, 2016...
