Scrabo Tower is a 135 feet high 19th-century lookout tower or folly that stands on Scrabo Hill near Newtownards in County Down, Northern Ireland. It provides wide views and is a landmark that can be seen from afar.

Der Yosemite-Nationalpark ist ein Nationalpark in den Vereinigten Staaten. Er wurde 1864 auf der Grundlage des kalifornischen Rechts geschaffen, 1890 von der Bundesregierung übernommen und liegt in Kalifornien, etwa 300 Kilometer östlich von San Francisco. Flächenmäßig erstreckt er sich über 3081 Quadratkilometer entlang der westlichen Hänge der Sierra Nevada. Jährlich zieht der Yosemite-Nationalpark drei Millionen Besucher an, von denen ein Großteil lediglich den zentralen Teil des Parks, das Yosemite Valley, besichtigt. Im Jahr 1984 wurde der Park zum UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe erklärt, da seine beeindruckenden Felsen aus Granit, seine Wasserfälle und klaren Bäche, die Haine von Mammutbäumen und seine Artenvielfalt weltweit bekannt sind. Das Gebiet des heutigen Parks war zudem das erste, das von der Bundesregierung der Vereinigten Staaten offiziell als Park eingeplant war.

This is how every breakfast should be when hitting the backcountry in alpine territory during summer. After getting back to camp from some sunrise shooting I sat down to eat oatmeal and drink coffee to this very rough view. The temperature was perfect and the bugs had yet to start swarming. It was a Folgers morning except really a Starbucks morning now that I take Via with me.
I could not resist setting up camera and taking some photos to remember the morning. This is still a little too far to take my girls for a backpack trip yet I look forward to when they can hike this in the next couple years.
