I set up an infra-red triggered camera pointing at a bird feeder this morning, and I captured a few of the local birds..
This is one of the famous Thames Parakeets.

The Least Bitterns are capable of get quite a bit of extension our of their neck. Interesting to observe if they stick around.
Was finally able to get a couple of shots of the Least Bitterns on my last outing. They are a small bittern and not easy to approach. If a person is very fortunate, they’ll freeze in place and try to act like a reed blowing in the wind. These shot were all taken on Horsepen Bayou.
