A rusty vent on my roof done in HDR. While the colors are pushed a bit, the rust up there really is the most saturated thing around.

I couldn't get a clean shot of this 8-foot by 16-inch vent stack for a public water system. I shot a closeup of rust and crust, from the section of "spout" nearest to the camera.

Black-vented Shearwaters can feed by snatching food from the water's surface. They can also dive for food swimming under water like a penguin. Black-vented Shearwaters are only found in the waters off southern and Baja California, where they nest on isolated islands.

As photographers, we are a strange breed. We see value in the oddest of things. This air vent at Saint Katherine’s Dock London is part of a modern development amongst the Victorian and some would say more classic architecture. The shot is in colour, although one such a flat light day, it would be hard to tell.
