Black-vented Oriole (Icterus wagleri castaneopectus) adult (ASY) based on plumage and worn tail/ active rectrix molt - Bentsen Palm Village RV Resort off Bentsen Palm Dr., Mission (Hidalgo Co.), TX - 25 Jan 2011. Present since at least 13 Dec 2010 (originally discovered down the road at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley SP WBC) but it's favored haunts went undetected until 31 Dec. Continues to frequent three blooming coral beans within the RV resort. In view for 30+ min. on some visits. 7th record for Texas and 9th for N.A. Digiscoped photo by Devin Bosler.
