Outside 88 Wood Street. I'm not sure the little vents actually do anything.

 

I had to lie on the ground to take this photo. The other morning commuters took the odd glance at me, but they seemed not to care that much. London, eh?

This Afrikaans, punk-rock band from Cape Town, formed in 2003. They released their first EP, As Jy Met Vuur Speel Sal Jy Brand soon after forming, and one of its tracks, Hemel op die Platteland made history when it became the first Afrikaans song to be officially playlisted on national radio station 5FM. Their first complete album, Lugsteuring , was released in 2004, followed in 2005 with another EP, Monoloog In Stereo. In 2006 they released both an EP, Brand Suid-Afrika, and, a new album Swanesang, that included the hit single "Brand Suid-Afrika".

I don’t know what’s coming out of this vent, but it was curiously part of the light pole. Not part of Vivid.

Henry's Services had to move the dryer vent because they measured wrong & the porch post was right in the middle.

(Pycnonotus cafer)-The Red-vented Bulbul is a member of the bulbul family of passerines. It is resident breeder across the Indian Subcontinent, including Sri Lanka extending east to Burma and parts of Tibet.The Red-vented Bulbul is easily identified by its short crest giving the head a squarish appearance. The body is dark brown with a scaly pattern while the head is darker or black. The rump is white while the vent is red. The black tail is tipped in white.

Adding intake venting where others wanted to build overhangs

The Red-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer) is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds. It is resident breeder in tropical southern Asia from India and Sri Lanka east to Burma and southwestern China. It has been introduced and has established itself in the wild in many Pacific islands including Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and Hawaii. It has also established itself in parts of Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand. It is included among the world's worst invasive alien species.

The old flap has been removed where the rubber had broken, which just left the metal strip to be removed. The metal strip is held in place by a row of small nuts. I used a 5.5mm nut spinner to remove all the nuts.
