The exhibition opening during Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego. Cartoon Network teamed up with curator and art promoter Mark Murphy to coordinate the design and production of the mini magazine and a limited edition book.
I recently received my copy, & here's my interpretation of cult cartoon Dexter's Laboratory in the book.

“So what’s this all about?” Cartoon Network is celebrating a milestone birthday with over 100 world-class artists. Each artist has been personally invited by San Diego art curator and publisher, Mark Murphy and has been presented with the distinguished opportunity to express their unique style : Each artist represents distinct creative categories including: painting, sculpture, print making, typography, design and illustration and have been paired up with a Cartoon Network show or character.

Featured here is a 2D vector graphic of the Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet. The UK has long held a special, if slightly ambitious, appetite for convertibles—perhaps driven by our perennial love for seizing those rare moments of British sunshine.
However, these days, finding a new soft-top on the market is becoming a challenge. As of 2026, new convertible models have dwindled to a 26-year low. It’s a bittersweet transition for enthusiasts; as brands prioritize SUVs and high-riding vehicles, the days of the accessible, mainstream cabriolet seem to be fading into the rearview mirror.

The quote, "the year that shaped our world" came from a Time magazine issue with said line on the cover. I felt it was appropriate.
