Small value study in 5x5 "Handbook." I eliminated white in order to put in very light value of the pencil. Such nice color from these pencils!
This image is an example of the element of art, Value as there are various shades of green and gray in the shot. This image is a depiction of architecture and landscape in one photo. The details and deep shade of grey really emphasizes the details on the structure, which really pulls in the spectators to the picture. If this shot can be taken again maybe at sunrise to catch the beautiful sky that can be shown in the background.
1) The element presented is value. Putting the picture to black and white, showed more value because of the fading colours of this building.
2) The subject is the side of the building.
3) The colours of the wall in black and white creates more fade and creates more shades as it fades.
4) Should've taken a closer shot for more value.
The space in this composition is pretty deep. The different values in color make the branches seem relatively distant as you look at the picture.
Yes, there's dominate movement. The movement was created by varying the thickness of the branches and the size of the leaves and flowers.
The heaviest shape is probably the branch with the darkest value (the one that appears "closer"). Yes, the weight and important match.
The negative space makes the picture easier to see how the value changes. All the branches are equidistant with white space.
