Value refers to relative lightness and darkness and is perceived in terms of varying levels of contrast.
This is a strain of garland with little black and white winter hats. I picked this for value. 2 different sides on the value scale.
I chose these for my full value final because I surprised myself with how good they turned out & they are different unique shapes

This is a good picture for value because it shows the gray scale from the light to the dark parts of the photo. In the background, the sky shows the lightness in the clouds, but near the edges it grays out to the blackness of the corners. Around each of the branches, it grays into the whiteness of the clouds. That is why this is a good picture for value.
