Since it has been very cold outside, I decided to stay indoors and find subjects to photograph. I never paid a lot of attention to the ceiling but looking up, I realized that the fan light was the source of light in the living room. With the right angle, this photograph of the ceiling fan demonstrates value and line. Using the light of the fan, it was very cool to be able to get a black and white picture without having to use the feature in the camera. The details of the fan creates lines both implied and direct. The lines in a way creates shape as well. I liked that the light illustrates the texture of the fan as well the patterns of it. This photograph uses the foreground, follows the rule of thirds and provides a new perspective

This picture was taken in my parents' living room of a vase containing multiple dried roses. The value displayed in this image is in the quantity of the dried plant - both by petals and buds - and also in the perceived value it cost to buy these flowers. Roses are a common romantic flower that have a notion of being expensive especially when in bunches/bouquets. Another aspect of value that can be observed is time. The roses are not fresh, they have been dried for over a year and continue to dry as they are being kept in this location which usually gets a lot of sunlight.

this is value because i added black to it and it makes a great black and white photo this is why i love it. and you can see the lines
1. the space does show depth .
2. there is movement, the movement is created by the to darkest lines on the left leading your eyes across the picture.
3. the two lines on the left are the heaviest, and yes it does match its importance.
4. negative space affects the balance i think my just showing the different values of the shapes by showing the balance and postion.
