Sarah C. and I drove up to Value Village the other day and I'm pretty sure I was out of the car before it stopped to grab these lamps. I couldn't believe my dumb luck! They will look awesome in my turquoise living room, once I have side tables to put them on. $4.99 each! The blue bases are made of GLASS. Do you understand how awesome these are?
I haven't seen Patryk aka Grani, for at least 5 years. Ok, so we did have some chatting and messaging over FB, but no serious stuff right? Just under a week ago, my old high school buddy send me an e-mail asking for my postal address, to send me something. I wasn't on facebook at that particular moment, so 4 days later this popped in with our company mail. Turns out that some 9 years ago, when I was still all-into-sports-kind-of, Patryk and I had this little warm-up routine before swimming based on Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Bodybuilding for Men" Book (circa 1981). The book was given to me by my father in 1994, for my 8th birthday, since already then I was ALL INTO flicks like Terminator 2, Kindergarden Cop and Predator (kids watch the strangest things, don't they?).
Anyway, Patryk borrowed this book during our sophomore year at Bydgoszcz's 8th High School and kept it long enough for me to simply forget about owning such a publication. The sentimental and surprise value, in addition to the note he left inside, generated an authentic grim and smile on my face and generally made my day.
Thanks for the memories P.

Best Value Differentiators
Best Value DifferentiatorsThree key attributes set Compu Dynamics apart from traditional mechanical and electrical contractors and data center infrastructure services companies:
Responsiveness

Our organization is built specifically to provide fast, professional service. We win customers through referrals; we keep them through an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. Our focus on critical facility service brings you an elite team of professionals equipped to bring you Uptime in No Time™.
Solutions Focus
First, we listen. Understanding our client's business, facility, technologies and objectives is essential to maximizing performance. Few service organizations possess a broader or more up-to-the-minute knowledge of critical infrastructure systems, solutions and techniques than Compu Dynamics. Our strong working relationships with the industry’s finest manufacturers, combined with our field experience in some of the industry's most sophisticated facilities, provides our customers with the leading edge on ensuring uptime.
Self-Perform Capability
In an industry where human error is the number one cause of downtime, a skilled and knowledgeable workforce is essential. At Compu Dynamics, we pride ourselves on the passion, skill and top-notch experience of our in-house personnel, many of which are cross-certified on a wide array of the most sophisticated data center infrastructure systems. Unlike our competitors, Compu Dynamics self-performs, rather than subcontracts, providing faster response times and more cost-effective solutions.
This quickly became a very moving experience once realizing what we had stumbled upon. There are 110 pillors, one for each who perished in the senceless accident. Though I did not know at the time, I was astonished to notice that it did sit perpendicular to the highway or pond and wondered why. It was not until my final photo that that I noticed that its shaped formed an arrowhead that looked to be pointing towards a possible crash site. That's exactly what it is 8 miles deep into the Everglades. DO NOT MISS THIS, FIND IT! Notable passengers: Rodney Culver - San Diego Chargers running back, Walter Hyatt - Country music singer, Robert Woodus - Miami Hurricanes offensive lineman, Del Marie Walker - A murder suspect.

101 Oil Studies, No. 29
Objective: Test hue, chroma, values for major elements of subsequent painting.
Painted in 3 sessions: 26-29 June 2024
Pigments (all Winsor & Newton Artists' oil colour): Indigo, ivory black, Winsor violet, sap green, yellow ochre, cadmium lemon, cadmium yellow, Naples yellow, naples yellow light, burnt umber, transparent earth red (Gamblin artist), cadmium red, warm grey (Rembrandt artist), permalba white (Weber), unbleached titanium (Richeson Shiva). Medium: Linseed oil.
Jack Richeson & Company premium gesso panel
22.9 x 30.5 (9 x 12 inches)
Process: This tries out a poster study concept introduced to me in a workshop by M. Tobias Hall at the New Mexico Art League studio. It tests out the look of broad areas of hue, chroma, and values.
After Action Evaluation: (1) If anything, I was too detailed and took two painting sessions (after application of wash to the panel), instead of one short session. (2) This is as much a paint mixing process as a painting process. (3) Specifically, this identifiec a sun color that really didn't work.

MiNr. 1519 und 1520 Freimarken 24. Sept. 1976. Schönes Österreich 4.50 S Windmühle aus Retz Niederösterreich und 11 S Enns Oberösterreich Michel-Europa-Kataloge 5087 M
-------------
Austria released two new values in its current series of 'landscape' definitive stamps on Sept. 9, with postal validity becoming effective on Sept. 24. 1976.
Denominations are 4.50s and 11s, and the stamps depict a windmill at Retz, Lower Austria and a landscape near Enns, Upper Austria.
The 4.50s stamp was designed by Otto Zeiller and engraved by Werner Pfeiler. Printing was in a combination of photogravure and recess in shades of green.
The town of Retz in the northwestern part of Lower Austria's wine district developed from two old settlements; the village of Reccz, first mentioned in 1180 and now known as "Old Town", and the "New Town" founded around 1280- 1290 by Count Berchtold.
In 1708 the town came into the hands of the Counts of Gatterburg, who still own the town castle and estates in the area.
On account of its location on the important trade route to Znojmo and because it became the center of a great wine area, the town enjoyed a long period of prosperity and a number of impressive buildings were erected, many of which have been preserved.
On a hill to the north of town, a wooden windmill was built in 1773. In 1775 a second windmill was set up nearby.
In 1830, the older of the two was acquired by Josef Bergmann from Saxony, who replaced the wooden structure with a cone-shaped tower of stone. The driving mechanism and the crushing mill remained·. unchanged. It was operated by the Bergmann family until as late as 1927 and is now preserved as a historic monument.
The 11s value is also the work of Otto Zeiller with engraving being by Werner Pfeiler. Printing is in orange-red (photogravure) and brownish-carmine (recess).
Enns, the oldest town in Austria is situated on the Vienna-Salzburg . line. It lies on a hill overlooking the junction of the River Enns with the Danube.
The town square dates from the 12th century and much of. the old town walls and several towers of the medieval fortifications survive.
Traces of human settlement on the site of Enns go back to the Neolithic and Hallstatt periods and about 200 A.D. the second Italic legion chose the site for its military camp.
Enns struggled through both good and bad times. and about the middle of the 19th century it became a garrison town. Today it has a population of some 10,000 and offers all the comforts of a modern town while still possessing great historic interest.

Fátima comes from the Portuguese island of Madeira. She was born in 1965 and grew up in its capital city, Funchal. Since an early age she showed an interest in fashion and during her adolescence, unhappy with what the shops had to offer in terms of clothing, started to design her own clothes. Being fluent in English, French and German, she worked as a tourist guide for a local travel agency.
In 1990 Fátima moved to Lisbon, where she believed she could better pursue a career as a fashion designer. With a friend she opened a boutique named "Versos", which sold mainly clothes from international designers. In 1992 the boutique changed its name to "Fátima Lopes" and in that year the Fátima Lopes brand was born. In September of the same year, she participated in a fashion show made in an old convent in Lisbon (Convento do Beato), where her work was widely applauded.
In 1994 she exhibited her collection in Paris at the "Salon du Prêt-à-Porter Feminin". Two years later she opened her first international store in Paris, located in the famous rue de Grenelle. At the same time she began to diversify her collections by creating bags and shoes for both men and women.
In December 1998, she started the management of the model agency "FACE MODELS" in Lisbon.
In the year 2000 she caused a media sensation by appearing on a catwalk herself in Paris wearing the world's most expensive bikini, made out of gold and diamonds, with an estimated value of one million dollars. In 2003 she opened her first brand store in the United States, located in Melrose Avenue in the city of Los Angeles.
She worked on the design of the official suit of the 2006 Portuguese football World Cup team.

In our office, we have been discussing the values of the office for the past several months. We were asked to make a diagram about values. I decided to compare my personal values to those of the offices.
My values are the yellow ones. The offices's values are the blue ones. Where those values overlap, the value is in green. The size of the circle is determined by how much the value is worth. The circles around the values are assessments of where i think the values should be.
All in all, i think that this diagram shows how lucky i am to have a job that encompasses so many of my values.

Our Values
There is a world where people don’t just let things happen. They make them happen.
They don’t check their dreams at the door. They get involved.
They take risks. They leave their mark.
It is a world where every new day and every new challenge brings the opportunity to craft a better future.
