Inspired by Chris Doyle, this lenticular mosaic, using 4600 cheese slopes, morphs from Darth Vader to Anakin. To be debuted at Brick Fair 2011. Watch the video to see the effect.
This is a little experimental shot, I used a glow-in-the-dark lightsaber with a 20 sec exposure. The Hue was adjusted red later.
I would have preferred it to have been abit brighter on the face, but I wanted the lightsaber to be the only source of light.
Duck Vader... well, at least that's how he calls himself... he's just a little crazy duck that thinks that if he wears a different suit it'll look bad...
My awesome friend Vader helped me build a house of cards this evening!

I am really busy right now, so even though I do have some ideas, I can't yet realize them properly. So, I hope you don't mind another few mini figure photos, while waiting for a new build.
Selected by Lord Vader himself, the soldiers of the 501st Legion are the elite of the elite. They are the mighty wall that stands between our glorious Empire and the disruptive elements of terrorism that call themselves Rebellion. I had to make some adjustments to that design for this one though, since all the pieces except the saber had to be black.

Attempting to pay homage to Brett Northcutt's beautiful concept image of Vader meeting Krennic. My version is nowhere near as epic but fun as hell to set up and play with the lighting.
This lower angle feels more accurate; Vader looks taller and more ominous. I used all my black tiles in the scene-mostly going wide to stretch the horizontal but if I'd put them more towards the front of the floor I could retained more reflection.

The first shot in a series of figure photos I took recently. At first I couldn't really decide, which one to upload first, but since I was so amused by Vaders extremely chatty portrayal in the new Battlefront game, I thought the shots of him would be best to start with.
By the way, I am having quite a lot of free time right now, even if the semester isn't over yet. Usually I would already have built some stuff. Sadly though, I have been ill the whole weekend, which prevented me from building completely.
Another thing I had built for Star Wars Day 2012 Toronto. The reason I built a Chad Vader MOC (See show here) is because the creators of the show were there. And as you can see, I also got them to sign it.

I did a double take of this lone figure on top of a granite boulder. Thought he was Darth Vader from the distance.

Well it is grey and blah here in Ontario. Very few flowers at local greenhouses...the only thing around is pointsettias :(
Well with no flowers around I tried to think about what other super masculine subject matter I could shoot...Star Wars. So in my son's room is my collection of Darth Vader figures (yes I am a tease...no he can't play with them) and I decided to work on a portrait. I bought some cheap coloured lights and paper and voila...Darth Vader.

It's for a StarWars legography contest in my country, sponsored by mfigspace (minifig display store). The build should be minimal (+/- 20 parts), and the judging is more on the idea and story line :)

Wing Commander: Lord Vader this is the only rebel to survive the attack. All were shot down or escaped.
Vader: You've failed for the last time Wing Commander! I wanted Rebels to interrogate. I will deal with later.

In terms of military efficiency, few in the Empire compare to that of the 501st legion. Still comprised solely of clones, the unite holds strong loyalties to the Empire and to Darth Vader specifically. To some, he's their champion. A warrior just like them who will fight beside constantly. Though none of them know the man behind the mask is the same person who led them during the Clone War, they still follow the Dark Lord as if he were their former Jedi general.
If only they knew....
