Just a simple shot of Vader in the rain. I was inspired by DigiNik13 to spray the fig with a squirt bottle, as she did here. This isn't really based upon anything, I was just trying to convey the grim mood that Vader presents. I sort of did this as a little tribute to the fantastic Clone Wars TV series, I'm so sad that it's now over. At least we have Rebels to look forward to this fall, as well as Episode VII next year!
Hope you enjoyed!
Another view of the Centre Point building in London. This really reminds me of Darth Vader's mask and looks quite eerie. I was really pleased the the tones on this one. Please view on black.

Before we went to Plandampf 'Dampf trifft Kies III' in the Werrtal valley, my father and I stayed in the Harz for three more days to enjoy some steam at the HSB. The Selketalbahn is in my opinion one of the most beautiful lines where you can easily follow the train and many beautiful pictures can be taken. But the Harzquerbahn and Wernigerode were also visited.
As a full-time father and husband, I hardly ever stand by the track anymore, except for the occasional main line trips of the SSN or VSM and the events. The trains I photograph of NS (or other companies) is often by-catch of steam or museum material that I had gone out for. Fortunately, it still happens occasionally that I have some time, but unfortunately that is only sporadically. This time we were on holiday in Germany where we made a day trip to Cologne. Of course we also visited the station and the bridge over the Rhine.
Batman: Darth Vader!...why did your goons bring me here?
Vader: Don't play dumb with me...you know I've been trying to reach you for a long time...emails, phone calls, certified letters...you've ducked them all. I even tried Facetiming you.
Batman: Uh...I'll have to check with Alfred on that stuff...he handles all of my calls and correspondences.
Vader: Too late! I've brought you here to give you this myself...AN IMPERIAL COURT SUMMONS!
Batman: A summons? What for?
Vader: Why? Because I am suing you, Wayne Enterprises, Alfred and your tailor for theft of an intellectual property, copyright infringement and multiple violations of the hero/villain code of ethics. In short, I am suing you for wearing my outfit! And don't think adding a couple of ears will get you off the hook, Batman.
Or should I say "COPY-BAT!!??

I know the new (2015) LEGO Darth Vader helmet is a point of some contention between LEGO Star Wars fans because many of you have a nostalgic attachment to the original or simply like it better, which I can totally understand. Personally, as a Star Wars and LEGO fan and photographer I like the new helmet for its better accuracy and new photographic possibilities.
Here we see the scene from Revenge of the Sith when Vader is receiving his helmet for the very first time. I always liked that bitter sweat moment that pretty much seals the deal for Anakin to become Vader. I know the new LEGO helmet doesn't EXACTLY match the version in the movie because that comes in 3 pieces, but I thought it was an iconic enough moment that I could make something recognizable to fans with what we have to work with now.
As always, comments are always welcomed! Thanks!
Recreation of one my favorite star wars concept arts, a tribute to Ralph McQuarrie's work. A shot I had in mind for a long time.. Purist MOC minifigs. Will be happy for any feedback and comments.
"Deak Starkiller’s confrontation with Darth Vader showcases the sheer size of the villain, who completely dwarfs his opponent. McQuarrie’s interpretation of the villain’s presence even makes the ship surrounding him feel smaller. In later drafts, Starkiller became Skywalker, but this image shows that both characters utilized breathing apparatuses to make transitioning from ship to ship a much easier process. The look of Starkiller was heavily changed, but other than rounding out some sharper angles, this image represented Vader so powerfully that very little modifications were necessary to bring him to life on screen." - starwars.com

I had an assignment this month at my photo club to shoot some tabletop photos, so since May the 4th was coming up I decided to shoot a 6" action figure of Darth Vader, but make it look as cinematic as I could. This is the result.

The light was very flat when I shot this, so I used a couple of PS Retro actions to get the color to pop a little. I really liked the background with the trees in the distance looking so small..

Dark Times™
I've been collaborating recently with @entearth to showcase their Hasbro Star Wars figures. EE sent this Vintage Collection Darth Vader (Dark Times) figure over for me to check out. This is hands down the best Vader figure ever made. I love it.

This is actually an old one. I made this image as a collaboration between me and the very talented and ever lovely mr. Moog. Unfortunately he had to back out because of his busy schedule, and I forgot about it. I finally dug it up again so here it is.
When I bought the Star Wars Darth Vader Hotwheels car, I knew I had to build it someday. Rather than slapping a picture of Vader on the side of an already established car mold, with it’s grille reminiscent of Vader’s respirator, his chest control details, his lightsaber along side and mimicking the shape of his helmet along the back, this wicked ride encompasses the very personality of Lord Vader.
