Happy Sliders Sunday once more !

A young Darth Vader honing his light saber skills while volunteering as a welder at Niles Canyon Railway's maintenance yard near Sunol, California.

Lord Vader is here. I bougt a Darth Vader keychain in Miami because I wanted to make Darth Vader. I extended the legs. I consider this one of my best figs ever. What do you guys think? Do you like it? Comment below! :)

So here is Darth Vader, something I've been working on for the last week, but have wanted to make for years.

This is the third figure in my series in which I am making a villain from each Star Wars episode. The others in the series are:

Episode II: Attack of the Clones - Jango Fett

Episode VII: The Force Awakens - TR-8R/Nines

I really wanted to pack as much detail as I could into this figure, so I hope I did a good job. I used a LEGO Darth Vader helmet from the latest Duel on the Death Star Set as a base and sculpted the rest of the detail other than the gloves, which come from Richard's excellent Future Gunner figure. Not only did they fit perfectly, but they are also sculpted so masterfully that I had to use them.

The lightsaber was then made mostly from scratch - I really wanted it to properly resemble this Sith Lord's lightsaber accurately (inspired by Aaron's excellent rendition with his Finn figure!). I also went with the standard LEGO lightsaber blade - I know I have probably let you down here, but I really couldn't come up with a better solution, although I would love to hear your thoughts about how to better it! :P

I am really enjoying making these Star Wars characters - especially the villains. Don't get me wrong, I always root for the heroes when I watch the films, but I can't help but find myself more interested with how the villains look. Maybe it would be fun to do a villain from each episode to accompany Jango Fett (Episode II: Attack of the Clones) and now Darth Vader (Episode IV: A New Hope)? ;)

Hope you guys enjoy the figure!

Oak Creek buckets are stopped outside of N078 at Global III (thankfully, with all the lights on) while the westbound bird flies past on the opposite main.

Due to NPG2 and another WB taking up any space by the Ashton crossovers, they had to stop at N080 to the west of me. Conveniently, they never pulled all the way up.

Rush job, but I'm so hyped for Rogue One after that new teaser. Can't wait until December gets here.

A shot I took of a fiddle playing Darth Vader in Victoria, British Columbia.

I dedicate this to Katie.

post and run. be back later!

A more serious fig for tonight; Comic - Vader. Originally just the helmet was painted, but I decided to rush out the rest of him... Hence this is my first version.

Head (my best one ever), uses the new helmet and has highlights painted on.

Cape is made out of paper (I really couldn't be bothered to do it properly lol), but looks decent enough.

He has a significant waist extension (which has caused controversy), being covered up by an oversized waist cape/belt thing. (also paper).

When I get more time ill give him extended legs (instead of waist), but I think he looks okay for now.

Not the most accurate portrayal, although I wasnt exactly feeling well whilst making him.

Version 2 coming soon where I'll fix up all the problems.

Let me know what you guys think.

Just a simple candid street style Snapograph captured at London UK of someone dressed up as Darth Vader.

I've deliberately gone for a higher contrast presentation to this snap because I feel it's better suited to this type of photography and I'm trying to create a more journalistic approach to my street style snaps.

"THANK YOU KINDLY" to anyone who finds this shot good enough to put amongst their "FAVES".

A long, long time ago, in a Sharkalxy far far away...

One of the oddest variations of the Star Wars Extended Sharkiverse...where everything is a Shark, or shark adjacent.

Luke Sharkwalker, with his green Sharksaber. Obi-wan Sharknobi. Han Sharko and his Millennium Sharkcon. His trusty sidekick Sharkbacca. Fighting against the crime lord Jabba the Shark and Boba Sharkett (watch out for that Sharklac Pit).

And of course..Shark Vader.

Honestly, it started from the Valmoor chat group, talking about Sharks..

I simply love this picture!!! :D

Darth Vader. There is no series without Darth Vader, next to Darth Maul and Kylo Ren.

Previously in this series: Hand of The Forces, Darth Maul Portrait, Kylo Ren Movie Frame.

I'm outta of words with this one. I personally dig this very much, as the other's, too, but I think I've managed to have a great pose for Darth Vader (as it should be, too!).

I decided to post this finally because of Rogue One hype. Definitely inspired by Shobrick and Kyle Hardisty.

Starting off 2019 with a bang! I'm incredibly happy with how this came out, especially since it's one of my favorite Star Wars scenes of all time. My goals for 2019 are to put further effort into each model, and more pieces, perhaps resulting in fewer builds...but much nicer ones. I also hope to really focus on my presentation and photography in order to improve both. Looking forward to a new year!

More photos on my website!

Through the creations that I build, I hope to inspire other young (or perhaps older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity. We all need a positive way to express ourselves, so let's allow LEGO to be an extension of us. Your creativity belongs to you, and nobody can take that away. Build what you want to build, and how you want to build it.

This is halfway folding the origami model "Clown Mask 2" by Hideo Komatsu and I encountered Darth Vader and his sweet love again........

Then start playing in photoshop and this is the result. Paper art transforming into almost drawn pictures. Which one you like more?

An old shot... I was just trying out a few lighting ideas... But I liked to silhouette effect and that you can still make out some of the figures printing.

No photoshopping... but cropped and a few tweaks in lightroom.

Stormtroopers Steve and Simon find a message from Lord Vader in their soup.

The inspiration comes from kyz in what is a blatant rip off of his excellent Revelation photo.

I've been itching to build another mech for a while, but I really wanted to build something badass! This guy's based off my Moodland Scale Samurai Vader fig with some serious Gundam influence.

Expect more pics tomorrow!

I went with PhotompNL to Amsterdam's annual December event, The Light Festival

An unique moment in Amsterdam as Darth Vader takes a break from ruling the galaxy to go fishing under a bridge.

I did this shot especially for my Instagram account (@delgaxphotos) as I was asked to show a set up shot (probably the most disappointing shot you'll ever see basically a box and a lamp)... But I liked the way this turned out.

Post Production : A hell of a lot of dust removal (too much for my liking) and adjust the colours/contrast.
