The Royal Clipper. The largest of the three ships in the Star Clipper line. It's seen here approaching the Grand Canal in Venice after sailing around the southern coast of Italy from Rome. This beautiful ship still gives luxury cruises today in 2023.
The day was very muggy and overcast. The air reminded me of Beijing, actually. Which is sad. I am hoping the night breezes leave it a little cleaner and clearer tomorrow.
The town of Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard has many lovely craftsman, custom vacation cottages like this.
Martha's Vineyard is a large island about 7 miles off the southern coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. There is daily ferry service from several points on Cape Cod as well as from Rhode Island and weekend service from New York City. Due to its close proximity to NYC, Boston and other population centers, The Vineyard has long been a haven for well-to-do and prominent African Americans. Former President Obama and family own a home somewhere on the island. While we were having lunch at a small deli in downtown Oak Bluffs, none other than film director/producer Spike Lee came in and picked up an order.
I am so excited ..I am meeting two of my besties from SL today in RL . What!!!! I Know Right. I am so happy I can burst. They have both been there for me threw think and thin and loved me no matter what and uplifted and are always truthful and honest with me and each other. They support me in all areas of my sl and rl and have been apart of my growing journey in real life . I am in tears of how very blessed I am and cant say enough about these two amazing women.I love you both so dearly huggies and I am bring the snacks . well post pictures later of us hehe.. Off to my adventure.

I really like this image, which I took in Pizzo Calabro, Vibo Valentia province, in Calabria, southern Italy when visiting our italian part of the family. That's my mom's cousin, Pino, who drove us there that Sunday to visit the little town and taste their famous Tartufo di Pizzo. As I realized he was walking towards the sunset in that little pathway by the coast, I had a very short second to get lower with my camera and try to make that silhoutette shot. It worked! I took a few other shots a few seconds later and also with my other cousin in the frame, by the first one was the best imo.

Iosif Aleksandrovich Brodsky (24 May 1940 – 28 January 1996) was a Russian and American poet and essayist.
Born in Leningrad in 1940, Brodsky ran afoul of Soviet authorities and was expelled ("strongly advised" to emigrate) from the Soviet Union in 1972, settling in the United States with the help of W. H. Auden and other supporters. He taught thereafter at Mount Holyoke College, and at universities including Yale, Columbia, Cambridge and Michigan.
Brodsky was awarded the 1987 Nobel Prize in Literature "for an all-embracing authorship, imbued with clarity of thought and poetic intensity". He was appointed United States Poet Laureate in 1991.Source Wikipedia.
Heading back to England for my yearly visit to the old country. Looking forward to catching up with family and friends, and having a girl night out at BNO too. My suitcase is 95% full of girl stuff, 5% guy stuff. I may have overdone it with the guy stuff!
