Aside from showing how dusty our coffee table is, this is me relaxing with a glass of Sam Adam's Utopia a very unique beer on a rainy day.
Cottesloe Beach is the Bondi Beach of the West. Minus the Gluten Free, Vegan Hipsters. This stunning beach with the Tea House overlooking the turquoise waters, really represented to me what Western Australian's were all about. From diving to look at fish around the rocks to setting up beach volleyball nets, everyone there was doing what they wanted, no pretentiousness at all. It was Utopia by the sea.
As the sun dipped below the horizon below me, the sky to the East started popping with pink and purple hues, it was this that I had imagined in my mind. With the moment captured, it was time to go and join in on the chilled out atmosphere!

Shot for the 52 weeks for dogs project: It's been raining much of this week and our home off leash walk area is now a muddy construction field so this morning, despite the continued rain, we drove off to our favourite walk in Mark Burnham Provincial Park. Towards the end of the walk the sun broke through for a few minutes and that's when I took this shot (again with the 35mm macro lens...). I did some selective colour de-saturation leaving the greens behind and liked the dreamy effect that you see here.
