Use to be 4 trees but one came down in the last storm.

Used up half my tube with hand cream to get this photo!

The start of a rather nice sunrise we saw at Happisburgh last week.

I learned from Wright to not waste attic space

I used to spend hours after hours, looking for these tiny fossils. They can be found in gravel piles, used for concrete. I still can`t help myself. When I see a pile, I have to check for these little beauties.

There used to be 3 of these gorgeous mangroves at Beachmere and they were lovingly known by local photographers as the " Three Sisters". I went here last night to do a star shoot with some friends and was saddened to see that only one remains, the last one to fall was still only metres away so its only recent that its succumbed to the elements, in fact you can still see where it stood in this photo.

KALANCHOE USES IN TRADITIONAL MEDICINE, IMPORTANT CAUTIONS

According to the journal Frontiers in Pharmacology, “Kalanchoe is an important genus with relevance to traditional medicine across the globe. We have provided a comprehensive review of the reported antibacterial activities of Kalanchoe species, in particular K. pinnata, K. crenata, K. blossfeldiana, and K. laciniata. For the first time, we have reported the antibacterial activities of two understudied species in this genus (K. fedtschenkoi and K. mortagei) against clinically relevant, multidrug-resistant (MDR) strains of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.”

While at the Bear Gulch Day Use Area with a view looking to the northeast at an acorn woodpecker. This is in Pinnacles National Park. What I liked about this image was catching the yellows in the eyes of the woodpecker from a little bit of sunlight that happened to come out around the main face area of the bird.

Used a daffodil leaf twisted up to form water droplets on.

I got the inspiration after noticing that after rain these leaves held droplets well.

Pismo Beach, California.

We found this young Calilfornia Sea Lion, Zalophus californianus, as we walked down to the beach early in the morning. Though it's a plea for help, it's also interesting to think of the animal climbing up to this perch during the night. It was alert, but let us walk by, and like so many other young sea lions this season, needed help. We called the Marine Mammal Center, who retrieved the sea lion while we were out walking.

Used as a marker to aid medieval travels from Buckfast to Tavistock the granite post has stood it’s lonely watch for centuries. Estimated to have been made in the 1400’s it now serves as an attraction to photographers or a rubbing post for the local cattle.

1.Kronberg / Taunus

Taken, using ND filters, after a couple of days of intense rain and storms, this well-known waterfall in the province of Segovia, Spain, demonstrates the loss of water as Spanish summers progress.

This was the first time I have visited this waterfall, despite living in Central Spain for 25 years. Must go back in the spring to see the full flow.

The old railroad depot in the ghost town of Rhyolite,NV. has seen many different uses over the last 100+ years. After the town was abandoned in the early 1910's,the tracks were taken up.It has been used as a museum, restaurant, warehouse, and a casino over the years since then.It now sits empty.

Rhyolite is one of the most accessible and popular ghost towns in Nevada, mainly due to the ruins of many fine stone buildings still standing. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
