We stayed at the beautifully located Hilton Dublin at Charlemont Place overlooking the Grand Canal in January 2017 incl. our renovated and equally beautiful King Deluxe Room with Turndown Service with views over the Grand Canal, plus access to the Deluxe Floor Coffee area incl. complimentary coffee, tea and snacks offering during the day, which was very appreciated by us which incl. equally the friendly service received, plus we enjoyed our visits to the Charlemont Bistro, walking along the Grand Canal and visiting a few of the locks surrounding this modern hotel in the heart of Dublin, yes, we would look forward to stay at this newly renovated hotel again in our future.

the traditional portuguese dish is a thin steak with a fried egg on top, but this one takes it up a few notches!! the egg is poached and the sauce was amazing. all homemade by my husband.

The Bravern is a new, four-tower mixed use development with two Microsoft office towers, 300K sq ft of high-end retail arranged around two linked courtyards, and about 500 apartments. Maybe the sun masked its flaws, but the public spaces seemed pretty well proportioned and detailed despite the density.
We enjoyed our lunch at the newly created Morelands Grill located in the Westin Hotel, Dublin, Ireland in April 2017. A beautifully designed upscale space, friendly service and memorable food and drink choices at this new venue in the heart of Dublin. Highly recommended.

Panama City continues to attract expensive designer lines. The high-end Multiplaza Mall recently completed an expansion that will include 140 new stores. Move over Rodeo Drive.
Busy day in the city today running errands that included picking up airline tickets for next weeks and a trip to our attorney's office where we learned that the down payment we were expecting won't be here until late in the afternoon. Luckily, she said she would make the deposit for us so no need to hang around.

A continuation of my upscale Mosquito build. Ready for primer, I hope the cardstock covered fins will cut down on sanding and prep time.
Upscale brands of all kinds were well represented among the Lugano shops. I could only gawp from outside, and there was certainly no point in my marching into this Cartier outlet.
Mind you, I did once wear a Cartier Tank, a classic design of the 1920s. My Cartier actually lasted for a couple of months. It was certainly better than the gold Rolex I bought on the same occasion. That was kaput after just two days. Both were fakes, bought from a street corner vendor in New York City. My colleague and I bought these fakes to tease our senior colleague who was inordinately proud of his (real) Rolex. Our ploy worked: at our next meeting, flourishing our shiny fakes, John’s eyes popped out in amazement: “What’s that you two have got on your wrists?” he exclaimed. Well worth the $50 we shelled out at the time.
