This building with the Florentine loggia is the former palais urbain built for Ignaz Graf von Törring-Jettenbach and also a former post office.
Originally built 1747 to 1754 in Rococo style for the above mentioned count Törring-Jettenbach, it was modified many times.
1835 to 1838 the Florentine loggia was added while at about the same time the building was made the main post office.
Mostly destroyed in World War II, the interior was not reconstructed. After the post office moved out in 2009 all not listed parts of the building were demolished, only the loggia with its arcades remained. Now there is upscale shopping and a café.

200mm on full frame is not always enough to come really close
Thanks to modern software a duplication of virtual focal length is possible if the original footage is of good and clean quality (RAW image is a must here)

Bright and colorful male is difficult to miss: bright grayish blue with yellow or orange underparts (depending on subspecies) and a small orange splotch on the back. Female is comparatively dull, but her yellow-suffused underparts and rump are still quite distinctive. Like other flowerpeckers, forages actively, often hovering in front of blossoms or while gleaning from foliage. Inhabits forested edges (less common in dense forest) from lowlands up to foothills; often quite close to human habitation. Gives a variety of buzzy or sharp notes. (eBird)

Definitely not difficult to miss! We were above the canopy on an observation tower when we saw this tiny bird way over the valley perched in a sea of green. The colour alone attracted my eye and so I aimed my camera in his direction and hoped for the best. I had to upscale this image and it is still tiny. I am happy with the results.

As a winter destination for many moneyed snowbirds, Naples, Florida, is a great place to see lots of luxury sports cars such as this red Ferrari. Not surprisingly, the Old Naples district features an abundance of high-end shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes.

Monterey at the California coast is always a treat to visit. We went for dinner at the Inn at Spanish Bay, an upscale resort and golf course. A piper entertains guests with a bagpipe, apparently every evening.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

This charming, upscale hotel, occupying 2 antebellum townhouses originally constructed in 1862, is a 2-minute walk from the Mobile Civic Center and 2.4 miles from the USS Battleship Alabama Memorial Park.
Elegant rooms are set across both the original townhomes and a rear addition, and feature antique and reproduction furnishings, plus designer toiletries, coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Suites add separate bedrooms and living rooms, which have crystal chandeliers.
Breakfast and parking are included. A central courtyard features a fountain, and there's an outdoor pool.

Riverstone, an upscale subdivision near my neighborhood, has been subject to flooding in the past. Three years ago Riverstone funded the construction (reconstruction, actually) of a 4.5-acre wetlands with several educational kiosks about birds and plants, especially how the roots of prairie grasses absorb lots of water, certainly more than concrete! The wetlands have attracted birds, 88 species according to eBird, the 39th hotspot in Fort Bend county. An Ibis in the wetlands is shown in the next photo.
Rodeo Drive Capri in the morning is quiet and lonely except for this sleepy photographer. I love this time of day. Morning is the best time of day even better than evening because I have everything to myself. I have the light and the color and my tripod and I own it all.
I finally got out of the house yesterday to do a bit of grocery shopping. My husband convinced me to take my camera, because "you just never know" (I used to bemoan not having a camera before the advent of cell phones). Anyway, I took mine, not really expecting much. I know the route to the supermarket, it's not really inspiring. BUT, my great husband surprised me by taking me not to our regular market but rather to one situated outside of some very upscale gated communities! This shopping plaza is beautifully designed and landscaped, probably the prettiest I've ever seen!
I'd been here years earlier with my son and took some photos (there might be one or two posted here but I can't remember which album they're in). Anyway, before we went into the market I took a few shots. This plaza has gorgeous landscaping, a lovely little pond, some wonderful statues...so funny to think of visiting a shopping plaza to take photos, but, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was just happy to get out, if only for that hour!

Capri is an island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrento Peninsula, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples in the Campania region of Italy. A popular resort destination since the time of the Roman Republic, its natural beauty, historic sites, and upscale tourism have made it famous worldwide.
The island is characterized by its rugged limestone landscape, sea stacks (Faraglioni), coastal grottoes including the renowned Blue Grotto, and high cliffs overlooking the sea.
