Giant ape billboards in Times Square cause people to move a little quicker. It was very surreal to view them among the pouring rain with thunder and lightning this evening.

The tone of this brochure clearly reflects the ambiance of an upscale lounge, bar, or restaurant. The dark, abstract, smoky shape matched with the structured type on the exterior create a swanky image of a classy lounge. The brochure also has space to describe different components of the restaurant, including an area for highlighting special events.

I have a customer working on a "Upscale Cabin" Themed Room Box who needed a sofa, I probably should have asked how literal she wanted to go with it, you know Moose or Bear prints for the pillows instead of the silk I used. We'll see if you likes them.......

The Franklin Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles in the United States between 1902 and 1934 in Syracuse, New York.

Herbert H. Franklin founded the H. H. Franklin Manufacturing Company in 1893 and, in 1901, teamed up with engineer John Wilkinson to develop an air-cooled engine. In 1902, the Franklin automobile was introduced. Because he was the primary investor, Franklin assumed control of the company, and named the auto manufacturing division Franklin Automobile Company. As president, he managed the company finances and business administration. Wilkinson was named chief engineer and granted control of the engineering and manufacturing operation.[2]

Throughout its history, Franklin was a luxury brand and competed with other upscale automobiles of the day. As such, it fell victim to the Great Depression along with many luxury car manufacturers.[3] The company sold about 150,000 cars over the course of more than 30 years in existence.[4]

Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel

4200 Jim Walter Blvd, Tampa, Florida

Charlie Muller, chief operating officer of Orlando based CNL Hospitality Corp. announced in 2002 it will build a $50 million Renaissance branded hotel at Tampa's upscale International Plaza. The hotel will sit between the outdoor restaurant district and Neiman Marcus, within a mile of Tampa International Airport and a lot of office buildings. Hotels that are wings of regional malls are somewhat rare. There's a Westin hotel at the Florida Mall in Orlando and hotels are part of the Galleria malls in both Dallas and Houston. CNL reached an agreement with Taubman Centers, owner of the International Plaza for the hotel site. The shopping mall opened in 2001. The mall is anchored by Nordstroms, Dillard's and Neiman Marcus. Renaissance Hotels was founded in 1981 as Ramada Renaissance Hotels, the upscale division of Ramada Inns, Inc. The first property was located in Aurora, CO at 3155 S Vaughn Way (Denver). The Renaissance brand was acquired by Marriott in 1997.

The architect was Atlanta based Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart. Smallwood has designed the Ritz-Carlton Charlotte and the Four Seasons Hotel Doha, Qatar. WELBRO was the general contractor for the 200,000 sq. ft. 8-story horseshoe-shaped tower. The hotel's interior designer was Duncan & Miller Design who dreamed up a history of the brand new hotel which included hints throughout the decor of the love story of Sergio, a Spanish media baron, and Gabriella, a Tampa heir to a cigar fortune. The hotel is supposed to be their Mediterranean mansion.

Renaissance Tampa Hotel International Plaza opened in August, 2004 with a rack rate of $249 for its 297 rooms. The hotel's opening General Manager, Jim Bartholomay, said the hotel has some introductory rates for as low as $79. The $43 million hotel is seeking a four-diamond rating from the American Automobile Association at opening. Some imperatives for the rating include answering all phone calls within 3 rings and eye contact must be made with guests within 15 feet. In 2004 the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay was the only other local hotel to get the four diamonds. The 8-story 297-room Mediterranean themed hotel was managed by Marriott International and owned by CNL Hospitality. John A. Griswold was the president of CNL which owned 130 hotels at that time. The opening Director of Sales was Darryl McGarity. The hotel's restaurant was Pelagia. Management hoped the Pelagia with its Italian trattoria concept with open kitchen will compete with SideBerns, a popular South Tampa restaurant. The opening chef was Italian born Fabrizio Schenardi, who previously worked at the executive sous chef at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Hotel in California.

A Tampa newspaper promotional ad printed just before the Renaissance Tampa's hotel grand opening stated "Escape to the romantic Spanish Riviera while leaving your passport at home. The intriguing new Renaissance Tampa Hotel will fulfill your modern whims yet remain as classic as a cross continental love story. Our thoughtful staff will fulfill your every need and surpass your expectations. From the nostalgia of our Spanish, Cuban and Italian influences, to the intimate feel of ornate stucco archways and cast iron gates in our lush interior courtyard, you'll feel less like you're relaxing in Tampa and more like you're lost in the enchanting Costa del Sol."

In April 2007 Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. acquired a 51-hotel portfolio from CNL Hotels and Resorts for $2.4 billion (13,640 rooms or $177,000 per key). Included in the portfolio were the Renaissance Tampa and other properties including the Marriott Seattle Waterfront, Capital Hilton, Hilton Costa Mesa, Hyatt Regency Montreal, Hilton Tucson El Conquistador, Marriott Legacy Center, and Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines.

Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. (NYSE: AHT) spun off the Renaissance Tampa in 2013 to a new entity named Ashford Hospitality Prime. The REIT invests primarily in high RevPAR, full-service luxury hotels and resorts. The NYSE symbol is AHP. Ashford Hospitality Primes hotel portfolio has 12 hotels:

Marriott Seattle Waterfront Hotel - Seattle, WA

Renaissance Tampa Hotel - Tampa, FL

Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines Hotel - La Jolla, CA

Capital Hilton Hotel - Washington, DC

Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile - Chicago, IL

Pier House Resort & Spa - Key West, FL

Courtyard San Francisco Downtown Hotel - San Francisco, CA

Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown Hotel - Philadelphia, PA

Bardessono Hotel and Spa - Yountville,CA

Hotel Yountville – Yountville, CA

Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa, Beaver Creek, Colorado

In 2015 The Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel completed a $10 million renovation. Kathy Moran-Clarson of the firm KMC&A Design, came up with the new design which included new interior paint color scheme, an updated subtle Spanish influenced decor and furnishings. According to KMC&A the guestrooms were inspired by the nautical nature of the region. “The carpet acts as the ocean waves splashing over the sand leaving ripples in the tile entrance. Color and textures are derived from the setting sun across the waters of Tampa Bay that are abundant with indigenous sea life. The guest is transported to a serene moment in time before discovering the spirit of Tampa.”

In December, 2017 Ashford Hospitality Prime announced plans to sell the Renaissance Tampa. It contracted with The Placenia Group to market the property to potential buyers.

Jim Bartholomay has been the General Manager since opening - 14 years. The hotel has a very tight workplace culture. For the fourth year, the hotel has been ranked as a Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace, and took the crown as the top small company in the 2017 survey of employees.

Fabrizio Schenardi, the opening executive chef, is now the chef at the Four Seasons Orlando. Chef Brett Gardiner joined the culinary team at Pelagia Trattoria as sous chef in December 2011, and is now the hotel's executive chef.

The Oceans Room is a favourite place to eat in Rocky Harbour, Gros Morne National Park!

Le Touquet Paris-Plage is a seaside resort near Paris that became an upscale trendy hangout of the rich and famous from Britain and France beginning around 1900. Tramways were built to serve the rapidly growing town, linking the beaches, town centre, plush hotels, attractions and the nearest railway station.

The 'Tramway du Touquet Paris-Plage' was a 600 mm gauge line of 4 km linking the town centre with beaches, hotels, the Sports fields and attractions with the posh residential streets such as St. John Avenue shown on this postcard. Rolling stock comprised, as you can see, small petrol-engined passenger cars, sometimes with passenger trailers. The line lasted till 1925.

San Antonio, officially the City of San Antonio, is the seventh most populous city in the United States of America and the second most populous city in the state of Texas, with a population of 1,409,019. It was the fastest growing of the top 10 largest cities in the United States from 2000 to 2010, and the second from 1990 to 2000. The city is located in the American Southwest, the south–central part of Texas, and the southwestern corner of an urban region known as the Texas Triangle.

San Antonio serves as the seat of Bexar County. The city has characteristics of other western urban centers in which there are sparsely populated areas and a low density rate outside of the city limits. San Antonio is the center of the San Antonio–New Braunfels Metropolitan Statistical Area. Commonly referred to as Greater San Antonio, the metropolitan area has a population of over 2.27 million based on the 2013 U.S. Census estimate, making it the 25th-largest metropolitan area in the United States and third-largest in the state of Texas. Growth along the Interstate 35 and Interstate 10 corridors to the north, west and east make it likely that the metropolitan area will continue to expand.

San Antonio was named for Saint Anthony of Padua, whose feast day is on June 13, by a 1691 Spanish expedition in the area. It is notable for Spanish colonial missions, the Alamo, the River Walk, the Tower of the Americas, the Alamo Bowl, and Marriage Island. Commercial entertainment includes SeaWorld and Six Flags Fiesta Texas theme parks, and the city is visited by approximately 26 million tourists per year, according to the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau. The city is home to the five-time NBA champion San Antonio Spurs and hosts the annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the largest such events in the country.

The US armed forces have numerous facilities here: Fort Sam Houston, Lackland Air Force Base, Randolph Air Force Base (which constitute Joint Base San Antonio), and Lackland AFB/Kelly Field Annex, with Camp Bullis and Camp Stanley located outside the city. Kelly Air Force Base operated out of San Antonio until 2001, when the airfield was transferred to Lackland AFB. The remaining portions of the base were developed as Port San Antonio, an industrial/business park. San Antonio is home to five Fortune 500 companies and the South Texas Medical Center, the only medical research and care provider in the South Texas region.

This business card is perfect for a business travel company seeking to provide the highest quality travel service. The sleek business card with the full bleed image of a plane in the crystal-blue sky gives the card a feeling of luxury.

In an old, established, upscale residential neighborhood a non-conforming use has been introduced - a dental office. The sign and the parked cars tell the story of a neighborhood in transition. Surprisingly, the change goes against the rigorous traffic plan that was implemented to maintain its residential character.
