Inspired by Captain Nikon's deserted underground escalator shot. I was taking some shots around Canary Wharf with my daughter a few weeks ago when she happened to find this underground station, and surprisingly it was the same escalator that Steve captured. This was taken on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of summer !!!! E-M5/12mm.

Just another lovely view looking up the dale. Otterburn military firing range is on the left.
For the first time in more than a week the sun came out. We made the most of it and went on a delightful drive up Upper Coquetdale, as far as it’s possible to go, almost to the border with Scotland. The military ranges were open, so we then drove across Otterburn and down into Redesdale. It was all so incredibly beautiful – England’s north country at its most magnificent. It took us six hours to travel just 110 miles.
The scenic upper Suriname River as seen from Ladoani above the Ferulassi Rapids. Most of the territory along the river is still untouched rainforest.

The natural beauty of the Yosemite Valley... the towering granite cliffs, waterfalls, and lush foliage make this a place unlike any other on Earth. It is truly beautiful and awe inspiring! This shot was taken in the afternoon last May before the crowds began flocking there by the droves in June, July and August. Yosemite is visited by four million people each year, most of whom visit during the summer months. I absolutely wanted to make sure I got there before that mad rush started. :D
On our whirlwind tour of the park that afternoon, my son Derek and I pulled over to view Yosemite Falls. I got out of the car and walked a short ways to capture this shot of the beautiful waterfall. (IMG_1253)

View of Upper Campbell creek in the Alaska Chugach State Park east of Anchorage. Powerline pass is just to the right of the distant peak. In another month all this will be covered in snow.
Upper Doyles River Falls - Shenandoah National Park, Virginia (South District)

28 ft height. Mile 81.1 along Skyline Drive, Doyles River parking area. 2.6 mile round trip hike.
You may also opt for the 7.8-mile loop hike, which connects with the Jones Run Falls.

Had a constant breeze blowing in this area so the leaves are somewhat blurred. AAARRGGHHH!

A slightly closer look at Oak House in Upper Holly Walk, one of William Thomas's more fanciful creations. It has Gothic windows, crenellations and extremely ornate gables - a 'mix and match' from other places and styles.
This is a composite shot of 4 images to capture all the space of this majestic area in Yosemite. This was last night in Yosemite Valley during a Super Moon, where the Moon is full and at it's closest approach to the Earth during it's orbits. The hope was to capture a rainbow that occurs only a few times a year when all the elements come together. Unfortunately this year we got the moon and the clear skies but there was just not enough mist at the base of the upper falls to produce much of a rainbow. Hopefully next year!
It was a blast thought because there were several hundred photographers all over the valley trying to capture this special event...they definitely outnumbers all the other wildlife out there this night!!!!

Upper Pierce Reservoir, Singapore
The sunset there never was. Colors as I imagined. It was actually a really blue evening with the sun nowhere in sight.
The hike up to the upper Latourell Falls is well worth doing. You can walk behind the falls if you don't mind getting drenched in spray.
I found it interesting that different sources give heights to the drop of this waterfall ranging from 75 to 120 feet. Perhaps the reason for the differences of opinion is that the falls twists a bit. The part this image shows is probably the 75 foot section.
Founded in 1961, Upper Canada Village is one of the largest living-history sites in Canada. They endeavor to depict life in a rural English Canadian setting during the year 1866. They feature over forty historical buildings, many moved their prior to flooding of the “Lost Villages” during the St. Lawrence Seaway development project. These include homes, functioning mills and trades workshops.

Upper Antelope Canyon, called Tse bighanilini, "the place where water runs through rocks" by the Navajo, is on the Navajo Reservation outside of Page, AZ.
A buddy and I took a four day photographic road trip to Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, and Grand Canyon.
On day 3, we booked a photographic tour with the nice folks at Chief Ray Tsosie's Trading Post. The Chief is related to Sue Tsosie, who was the first person to discover the canyon.
The best tour time to book to get shafts of light like this one is 10:30am.
