When I took my latest rack out of the jig and bolted it to a fork to fit the fork crown stay I discovered that the thing was not even close to level (exhibit A: this picture). I'd been having some trouble adjusting the old fork leg stay jig (a threaded rod brazed to a steel plate with a scribed centerline so I could line it up with the fork jig before clamping it into place) and this time around it fell /wildly/ out of place.
So it was time for a replacement; a section of 8020's smaller sibling, drilled crosswise to press-fit a section of threaded quarter-inch tubing, then drilled front to back to fit a couple of m6 bolts which are locked into place with a pair of brake shoe nuts.
It still needs a little alignment (the m6 bolt is a tiny bit narrower than the slot in the 8020, so I'll need to fabricate a couple of keel pieces to fit between the two chunks of aluminum) and I might want to braze a couple of diagonal braces to keep me from accidentally knocking the stubs of the tubing out of line but even as it is it's much more robust than the stay jigs I was using for the last 70 or so racks that have staggered out of my basement.
A slight update/revamp in the office.
New speakers, Edifier RT1700BTS, new audio interface, behringer UM2 which has really surprised me how good it is for the money as has my new mic, a BM800.
Other new additions to the office, a Raspberry Pi, 3 Pi 'cluster', the 5,1 Mac Pro is down from the loft running ProxMox with various work and home related VM's, its space in the loft has now been taken up by a Dell R710 setup basically as a NAS.
I also have a 2012 Mac Mini setup as a Plex server now hidden away in the unit on the right. Again for a fairly dated bit of kit, it performs really well.
I've also put some of my fountain pens and cameras out on a new shelf unit that I still need to stain.
The only thing I really want to replace now is the monitors. I want to replace them with a 49".
I may start using the Mac Pro for a daily machine with and push its services to the R710.
Me washing a backing strip off a cwb test plate, ordering a time lapse remote for my camera tomorrow hopefully I'll get to try it out sooner or later, been busy with school tests every week, mid term next week, not a lot of time in between to play with my camera but I'll try and get some new material up, thanks to those who leave feedback!
So guys, how are you today ?
I'm planning around 20 MOCs (like these ones) for a solo exposition in Brittany, France. It will be November 8th and 9th at St-Martin-Des-Champs, near Morlaix (29). I'll be representing BIONIFIGS.com there.
A small HF Invasion From Below diorama will be there too and I can show you only one side of this project. Heroes or Beasts ? You decide. My entry for the BFTGM Contest will be display as well, but only (or not) as a WIP.
Photos of all MOCs displayed will be posted after the exposition. 'Still got things to do for it, especially this week because it's my only holiday week.
That's all for now, see ya and let me know what you guys think of all this information !
It took alot of inductance to finally get it to load right. I also put a real blocking cap and placed a parasitic choke in the right place. Oh yeah, i put in a glitch resistor in it for tube protection as well.
Summer Update 20260718
Sony Alpha NEX 5N
Simpson Optical 50mm f1.6
Simpson Optical Mfg. & Co.
Chicago, U.S.A.
Victor Animatograph 16mm Projector
Adapted Sony E
Petzval Triplet 940s
It was originally manufactured for standard 16mm film projectors or microfilm readers. Because of its uncoated or single-coated design, it provides a very classic, slightly soft, and swirly bokeh aesthetic
I just added all these; two coat sets and a bunch of cute little dresses.
I hope you'll like them! <3

...PERSONAL STUFF(don't have to read it if u don't want to:P)
SOOOO, basically I've been kinda obssesed with my crush at school, today was the dance and I was going to ask him to dance with me but I bailed out cause I got too nervous and because my friend wouldn't leave me alone so I couldnt ask him...during the dance if see him walking around by himself during slow-songs and I'd catch a glimpse of him looking at me time to time. After the dance at the lockers as I was packing up I heard him talk to my friend
Him: "ugh I'm so pissed and happy at the same time..."
Friend: "why"
Him: "we'll drop it like its hot played in the dance, but there was only TWO slow songs.."
I was pretty confused why he just said that pretty obviously, cause I wouldn't :-/
I know guys say girls are confusing , but guys are sooo confusing too! Wtf is up with these mix-signals, what does this mean, how do u get to dance with a guy or get closer to him IDEFK!
QUESTION OF THE DAY

So I finally had my bum ankle operated on.
The good news is that the operation went well. The bad news is that the damage to my ankle was worse than expected and I won't be able to put any weight on my leg for three months. And full recuperation will take 12-18 months.
Photo updates here will be necessarily curtailed as taking photos with both hands occupied operating crutches proves to be challenging (!). Perhaps if I got Google Glass - but as with this iPhone pic, I'd never be satisfied with the quality compared to my beautiful 6D :-(
If so it's an oddball, and notice the installation. Weird.
UPDATE: WCI made unit branded under kenmore.
Based on the helps and feedbacks from fellow Flickries, I update my trip plan. If anyone find the plan helpful, please visit TripVilla.com. I create my plan there with more details that I gathered, such as sunrise/sunset time, hiking trail, camping, lodging, restaurants, etc.

The bubble level fitted to the now external, polar scope. Aligned the reticle on the horizontal mode and then adjusted level to the same position. Actually helps during setup leveling the mount in the horizontal plane.

I'm slowly upgrading the Day One at the beginning of this new season.
New saddle, stem, pedals, headset and waiting for further modifications.
On other phones, usually when there's a new update for your phone you have to find a computer, plug it in, and then download and apply the update.
Not with android. Whenever there's a new update it just appears and asks you if you want to apply the update. A reboot later and you're up and running. It's that easy.
