Got a few minutes to post this. I've been staying at my Mom's place as she's likely had another compression fracture to her vertebrae & is in pain plus trouble getting up from chairs or bed. Came back to get supplies for myself & other things & a bit of a break. I'm caring for her now until things improve or worsen. Hard to tell what to expect. My brother & I think she'll likely have to go to the hospital for better pain management (as the doctor said was likely) since the prescription painkillers aren't nearly enough. It's hard for both my mother & me as the situation is stressful for us both. My brother helps as he can (he lives in the apartment below her in their condo) but his wife has terminal cancer & he needs to be there for her most days to care for her.

No computer access at my Mom's & while I've been able to set up my Blackberry to get email, most Flickr email won't open on it (???) so I've been out of touch for a while & it may still be quite a while before I get home to stay for more than a day. Sorry to get behind but that's life. I'll make sure to check my contacts' pages when I'm back to stay. And I apologise for not being able to respond to any of your kind comments.

This is the tortie girl that spends most of her time in my yard. Thought I'd quickly post three photos of some of the strays I've been feeding that visit regularly now that I no longer have Mozza. Two of them (the girls) must've been someone's pet at one time as they're relatively friendly though nervous & cautious. The poor orange tom has come to know I won't harm him & I have food out at all times but he has no interest in people. Probably previously bad experiences. I'm trying to tame the girls in order to catch them & find homes for them or a good shelter that's a no-kill. The little black girl is pregnant & growing wider. I hope I can get her before she has her kittens but I doubt it. She will just let me gently touch her cheeks as she eats but is very nervous still.

UPDATED: This was built in 1974 as a Dutch Pantry restaurant. In 1995 the restaurant was extensively renovated into a Buffalo's Cafe location. In the mid-2000s Branding Iron Cookhouse opened here. The building currently houses Market Street Family Restaurant.

After a long journey together, my beard and I have decided to part ways.

3. she is becoming more skiny ( which means she is recovering from being pregnant ) :)

4. im getting her a 30" tank! :()

5. she is very healthy! :)

6. yes. she is watching TV.

This spot in the stream had some interesting patterns in the water flow and so that's what I tried to capture.

Still haven't thought of a name...

Twenty five years ago I did volunteer work for the Veterinarian at the Humane Society at Popcorn Park Zoo. I watched him perform miracles with very little means. I nick named him the “Magic Man”. He left the Zoo to open a private practice an hour and a half away, which for my sister, who now live near him, was very fortunate as she continues to bring her animals to him. He has become a good friend to the family and is always the man I turn to when I have a dog in need. He is all knowing, sensible and has a deep compassion for all animals. He is a good man. The drive is well worth it.

I emailed him all of Lacey’s x-rays and medical history and his morning he confirmed her hip is, indeed, fractured and will still need time to heal. He agrees with the instructions I was given by the rescue group’s vet. She is to remain on restricted activity. There is to be no running, no ball chasing, no squirrel chasing, no “zoomie” runs around the house, no walks on the soft sandy beaches. She is to remain on leash and is to be taken on daily walks to help keep her muscles strong. She will need to be rechecked and x-rayed in a week or so.

I did remind him she was a two year old Labrador Retriever! He reminded me he knew ;).

Well, I can't believe all of this is happening. So anyway, my home life is very abusive. It's been happening since I was 9. My mum kept hitting me and my uncle kept beating me up and treats me like a "man" they both moan about everything and constantly gets violent, shouts and screams at me, and just because they're family, meaning they can do whatever they want. They never leave me alone and I'm sick and tired of it. If you thought Horrid Henry was bad, think again. Now I know it is not all of your problem, but I needed help. but everyone in the whole country of Wales just leaves me alone or helps the bully just so they can bully me harder. They take me being bullied while I struggle to fight back as me bullying the person for no reason and just helps the bully. And for the most part, I never started the whole thing off! my mum and my uncle will constantly starts the whole thing off and claim it as me starting it off! Now I get it. Looking after children is no easy job, but it is harder when the naughty one is a parent gone bad. Now all of you may have a good family and I thank your family for that, but my family is a whole different story. They even tell people lies about me just so I can be in even bigger trouble. Since 2015, this kind of bullcrap has happened. Hate, all I get is hate. It's like the Caillou hate base or Barney Bashing. (Which then inspired the documentary: I Love You You Hate Me) Also, my family never helps me. Now I don't think some people are bullies. It just so happens that the whole world is a bully. I'm not saying you are, you have been a good friend to me and I appreciate it, Thank you, but my home life with my family are just as toxic as ever. Horrid Henry's life was just bad. But my life takes it to a whole new level. Now I'm not going to post pictures for a while, but I'm still active on Flickr and I still comment every now and again. Same goes for the Kiddie Rides Wiki. If you're going to outright hate my guts just because my home life is abusive and I'm just bullying my family even though my family bullied me first, then what on earth is your problem? It's almost like if you hate me just because I suck at life. I have heard other news months ago which is about instances of parents actually beating up their own child and even murdering them as punishment! I'M NOT JOKING! I'm not a crazy evil mastermind, my family are making me look like one. Ok, that's all I'm gonna say. I'm outta here.

Also, that Sailor Moon picture I uploaded represents my pain. Imagine someone one ruining Sailor Moon and now she became this.

Man. It's been a while!

Since 365 2.0 ended, I haven't been feeling particularly inspired. Plus, I don't have any intrinsic motivation, telling me that I must take a photo each day. All of that combines to make me lazy.

It's time to get back in the saddle. I'm not going to start another 365 right now - but I need some sort of structure. A 52 week project would be ok, I guess, but I didn't enjoy my first one very much. Any ideas?

It's summer time. The days are long and the nights are quiet. I spend a lot of time with Webley, and she gets a lot of play time with her doggy friends. And she gets slobber on her face.

I don't know what else to say. What do you say after you've been gone for over a month?

I've added some different blues to one and more olive green arches to the other.

Hello All,

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Again apologies for not being on much, I’m way behind on your updates and comments.

I’ve still have so much in backlog to post, including the oh so cute baby longtails I promised last week.

Tonight’s update is all about showing how busy some of my weekends can be 

I know some of you don’t have the time to look through all the updates so I’ve added the full set each.

Friday started as per the norm…..work!!! A place I don’t enjoy at the moment……

So escaping work at 3.30pm I headed over to Blashford reserve to make the most of afternoon and eve. Usual suspects outside the Tern hide, little ringed plover, red shank, common sand piper, lapwing ect. They only have a few plovers there and in the past they have nested but not too successfully. Currently they are having a few problems with illegal night fisherman around the lakes at the moment, which is causing some worry about disturbing the ground nesting birds like the plovers. I won’t go into a rant about it…..but it does p-me off , there are more than enough places for them to fish without going onto a nature reserve.

Back to the weekend, after watching the plover I popped over to watch the sandmartings. Would love to know what goes on in those nest holes, they been going in and out of them for weeks seemingly nest building………doesn’t look like any have settle or brooding yet.

After all the cold wet weather we’ve had I get the feeling they are just waiting for the weather to improve before really nesting down.

The sunset was going to be nice so went into the New Forrest to check out a location. And the shots from the sunset are from a pond near Cadham.

The only thing with sunrise and sunset shots this time of year, they require you to be up early and out late. So by the time I got back home and settled…. it was nearly 11 and bed by 12am. Then I was up at 4.am to get ready and start the journey to Oxfordshire to spend the day watching Red Kites , met a friend there and we spent the day and evening watching these incredible birds. Haven’t had time to go through all the shots from the day, but many I have checked have found their way into the recycling bin…lol. But I still had an incredible day in awe of these stunning birds, their flying and diving is awesome to watch. And the lovely whistling call noise they make is a joy too.

By the end of the day we left Oxfordshire at about 9 and by the time I was home and settle the clock was heading towards 12.30am…….boy I was knackered!

After a lay-in till 7am I was up and ready for a dash down to Sussex/Surrey to catch up with a friend and check out the Bluebell woodlands. Sadly it seems the cold and wet weather we’ve been having has had a big impact on the amount of bells out this year.

Again when I have more time I’ll try and post some comparison shots from a couple of locations between the last years and this year’s turn out of bells. Still there were a few about and I got to enjoy some fav woodlands I’ve missed since being in Dorset.

Left Sussex just after six and stopped in the New Forrest on the way home for the sunset, so ended my weekend as I started.

Hope you enjoy todays update.

Collectors corner July Update. Game worn /Team issued jerseys.

I met a lady who trains dogs for TV and films while Crufts was on locally and we keep in touch via email she has been very helpful with Millie, first thing she suggested was changing her diet to a low protein content below 20% then she suggested Calm Down herbs which they use for show dogs that get too excited that and having her spayed have really helped.

We have had two significant setbacks:

a few weeks ago we are walking towards the playing fields for a game of fetch when a stray Staffy attacked her and went straight for her neck I couldn't separate them, there was blood everywhere and the noise was horrible eventually the owner (who seemed very responsible) arrived and got his dog off. Millie didn't have a scratch but the poor staffy was well and truly cut. Millie had got in first thankfully. She was never that friendly with other dogs and I had spent a long time and a mixture of techniques to get her to socialise now she is quite vicious.

Yesterday she got out of the garden (not unusual) and ended up on the road, she chased after a car and was hit not badly as the car wasn't going that fast but enough for her to growl at me and show her teeth when I touch/stroke her, we shall have to see what are the long term complications after that.

Hi there! Mom said I could get on and let you all know how I was doing. As you can see, I am quite grown up now. I turned six months old eight days ago - and I haven't quite forgiven Mom for forgetting to mention it. I mean, six months is a big milestone! At least a small announcement would have been appropriate, don't you think?

I haven't had any more problems with pacing or seizures since I've been taking the yummy medications and special food, and in the last week or so I've stopped waking Mom up around 4 in the morning to go outside, which makes her very happy, I think!

Promise is still a pest, but she doesn't drag me around by my tail like she did when we were tiny puppies - I weigh too much! Mom told you about her nickname - and it's true! She never stops moving. Me, I'd much rather sit next to someone who will scratch my chest or belly.

I just heard Mom muttering about a dirty door - I think she means the one behind me. I'm not sure what she means about "dirty" - it's my personal nose-and-paw art, not dirt. I worked hard on that! I suppose she'll get over it.

Anyway, I think that's all the news for now. Goodbye, fans!
