HP heavyweight paper size: 21" x 25"
This special limited edition is printed on HP heavyweight paper and is most suitable for framing.
The silkscreen was made originally as a giant decalcomonia remember those? Like a fake tattoo. You used to be able to wet them and slide off the image onto your skin. Same concept, except the decal was designed to be dipped in a big pail of water and slide off the backing paper to be applied to the side of a van.
Except I saved this one. And kept it in a frame. The ripples are the backing paper. It was a kind of heavy duty butcher paper with a smooth side the image was printed to. The medium was a kind of vinyl ink.
The original was also used to make tee-shirts (red on white). I have the original, pictured with a watermark, and it's not for sale.

Moving with his family from Oakland, CA Robert Spray settled in Tucson, AZ where he established a silkscreen shop. He began painting portraits as a student at McClymonds High School, which led to a scholarship at the CCAC. During the 1930's he was employed on the Federal Art Project. Screen printer Robert Spray beautifully captured Ted DeGrazia’s artistic style and color palette in this series of prints he produced for the DeGrazia Studios in the early 1950’s. Careless Jane and Other Tales by Katharine Pyle. A collection of horrors that befell children who misbehaved, and how they found redemption by being good again. Very popular among parents, since it was reprinted at least 21 times, through 1928. The tale “Careless Jane” was illustrated by K.P. Other stories unsigned. Many are drawn with wooden shoes, and one tale is of the stork found on a rooftop. Leads me to believe that many of these tales came from a Holland source. Published by E. P. This unsigned and unattributed engraving of Trinity Church in Irvine, Scotland was published in the Illustrated London News in 1864. This was based on the architect's plans, rather than on that which had been constructed by that date (for one thing, the spire was not added until the 1890s, for another, there are a few differences in the final constructed building, as opposed to this 'artist's impression' -something which is as true today as it was then). Akal keluar is the phrase that sticks in my mind. Akal means mind, brain, intelligence, and in some contexts would include occult knowledge. Keluar mean to go out. This image depicts an individual with so much akal that it is emanating from its various orifices.

Now for something completely different! "Alonzo and the Devices" fill auditorium of the Grandview Legion with an amazing set of original Rhythm & Blues with a jazz feel. The crowd loved it! The dance floor was full of people dancing to songs that were being played live for the first ever! Alonzo Munoz Wang brought his music to a live show and it was amazing!
