Two girls have a photo-session on a harbour mole, far behind the junk in the foreground.
The junk belonges to an old wreck of a motorized 4-mast-schooner, which was brought to this place in 1926 for salvaging useful parts.
The name of the Finnish vessel is "Polstjernan".

I decided I wanted to photograph this Art Deco brooch today, but I couldn't make it work until I added flowers. That so often happens for me. :)
It would be nice to say that the brooch is sapphire, emerald and diamond, of course, but the truth is the stones are just paste. I love it. The brooch is leaning against a French powder compact from the 1940s. The flowers are Agapanthus from my garden.
"Cerulean Waters:" As the sun dipped all the way behind the ridgeline, the water in the Little Colorado River took on a deeper blue, still seemingly unreal to my eyes, which had never seen this area before. I have read reports that after storm rains flow through, the blue water turns more of a brown/reddish hue, and I was grateful to have seen the waters in their more pristine state.

Petit commentaire en Français pour mes amis francophones : cette photo a été prise dans un état de colère prononcé. Je venais de découvrir que le guide avait oublié de prendre les piquets de ma tente, et je devais donc me préparer mentalement à passer 6 nuits à des altitudes dépassant les 4.000 mètres dans une tente grande ouverte. Chaque soir, j'ai dû partir à la chasse aux cailloux pour limiter au mieux les vélléités aériennes de mon logis. Donc, après cette découverte, j'étais parti faire un petit tour au-dessus du lieu où nous allions passer notre première nuit, histoire de me calmer. La fin de journée approchait, et je suis tombé sur ce charmant paysage. Les couleurs sont telles qu'elles étaient. J'ai simplement ajouté un peu de contraste.
