This weeks theme for the FFF+ Snap Happy group of 'unreal flowers' was chosen by Jesse.
It's amazing what you discover when you least expect it, I have been spending a lot of time by the beach and the marina in St.Kilda lately, and the other day this little guy popped up. He resides just near the lighthouse at the bottom of a concrete border that runs along the walking path and he's very easy to miss.
As soon as I saw the broken floral tiles (or perhaps they're pieces of old plates) I knew I had to feature Mr Penguin and his florals in this weeks challenge.
I am away at the moment and will catch up on all your photos in the next day.
It would be appreciated if anyone commenting could also respect the group rules.
Still I'm looking inspiratoin in the Sky.
This winterseason.
P.S. The picture uploaded once again. My daughter told me that on previous picture lot of details have been lost - she was a right :) in this case I did once again.
One more discovery as I review and cull old photos. Cropped to remove some redundant sky and provide a wider view, but otherwise SOOC. The color is strictly what you see is what you get. Hooray for vivid winter sunsets! And Happy TmT!
no se quina versio m'agrada mes, aixins que deixo les dues !!!
I love the dreamy feel of this image and thought it worked well withe the FlickrFriday theme of unreal.
As I was driving through Lexington last Sunday evening, I could barely keep my eyes on the road because of this sky. I just kept repeating out loud "Unreal!" I knew I only had another minute or two to catch it, so I quickly pulled over into the rest area, swung open my car door and just stood there shooting away. Wow.
This puts me in the *best mood. That, and the fact that it's Friday!
Happy weekend, y'all!
#macromondays #Fictitious
The latest #macromondays challenge #Fictitious prompts me to share this picture with you.
#Fictitious is an adjective that describes something that is not real or genuine, but rather imagined or fabricated. It can refer to something that has been invented or made up, often in the context of stories, data, or identities.
Homer Simpson is a fictitious character from the animated television series "The Simpsons," which was created by cartoonist Matt Groening. He is not a real person, but a fictional character in the show.
Homer Simpson is one of the most iconic characters in television history. Here are some fun facts about him:
Voice Actor: Homer's distinctive voice is provided by Dan Castellaneta. The famous "D'oh!" catchphrase was originally written as "annoyed grunt" in the script.
Middle Name: Homer's full name is Homer Jay Simpson.
Inception: Creator Matt Groening initially conceived Homer and the Simpson family as an improvisation in the waiting room of producer James L. Brooks' office. Groening named Homer after his own father.
Inspiration: While the name might be from Groening's father, Homer's character isn't a direct portrayal of him. Instead, he's a composite of various fathers from 1950s TV shows and a bit of Groening's dad.
Job: Homer has held over 100 different jobs throughout the series, ranging from his main gig at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant to roles like astronaut, rock star, and even the mayor of Springfield.
Catchphrases: Aside from "D'oh!", Homer is also known for sayings like "Mmm... donuts" and "Woo-hoo!"
Awards: Homer won a Grammy for a barbershop quartet he was in, called the "Be Sharps," in the episode titled "Homer's Barbershop Quartet."
Age: In the series, Homer's age is typically given as 36 or 39, although the characters in "The Simpsons" don't age throughout the series.
Cultural Impact: In 2010, Homer was named the greatest character "of the last 20 years" by Entertainment Weekly.
Dictionary Appearance: Homer's catchphrase "D'oh!" has become so popular and widely recognized that it was added to the Oxford English Dictionary without the apostrophe (as "doh").
These are just a few fun facts about Homer Simpson, a character who has been a significant part of global pop culture since the late 1980s.

The conditions looked good for a classic ocean sunset when I found a parking spot at the pier. It turned out to be so-so because a band of clouds on the horizon blocked the sun as it set. An half hour after sun set I packed up and was in the car when that narrow band of altocumulus clouds burst into colors as the sun from below the horizon probed underneath the clouds. I quickly grabbed the 200mm lens and managed to expose a few frames while balancing the lens on a railing in the five minutes the show lasted. It looked like a forest fire across the horizon and was like nothing I had seen before. Unreal.
A picture in which one would like to withdraw. In reality, it is not as strange and cold as it first appeared to me. It was on a freezing cold October day when I saw this scene. I wandered around in the Swiss mountains all day, even though the weather was anything but friendly. Well, a photographer loves this kind of weather too because it creates unique moods. I discovered exactly such a special atmosphere while hiking back to my starting point. But only when I looked back did I see this lonely house by the rocks. I immediately asked myself how it is possible to get there and... to live on this place? I saw no way that would lead up there and just couldn't imagine how to get to this house. The path stayed hidden from me that day and that's a good thing, because I don't have to know everything, I just could marvel at this strange winter landscape in the Alps on a somewhat unusual October day. It was the first and very early snow in the mountains that came in this time of year. It was still autumn and nobody was in the mountains that day but me....
How very different and inviting the same place looks in summer I don't need to describe here. Just imagine it. But even in summer I really don't know how to get up there to the house by the rocks.
In addition: I am actually in love with colors in photography. This picture is different. Maybe you will turn a blind eye for this, if there is only little color in my latest picture. Hope you can at least enjoy a bit with me my newest photography. Don't have a look to long on it, other wise do you start to freeze.... haha....

The strength for the new lies in the silence and patience of winter.
Those who are under the spell of the mountains consider them to be a miracle beyond compare.
I really love this song from Leonard Cohen. He brings me so many deep feelings and love through his words. Wishing all of you much LOVE in the coming year. We all need it.
