A picture in which one would like to withdraw. In reality, it is not as strange and cold as it first appeared to me. It was on a freezing cold October day when I saw this scene. I wandered around in the Swiss mountains all day, even though the weather was anything but friendly. Well, a photographer loves this kind of weather too because it creates unique moods. I discovered exactly such a special atmosphere while hiking back to my starting point. But only when I looked back did I see this lonely house by the rocks. I immediately asked myself how it is possible to get there and... to live on this place? I saw no way that would lead up there and just couldn't imagine how to get to this house. The path stayed hidden from me that day and that's a good thing, because I don't have to know everything, I just could marvel at this strange winter landscape in the Alps on a somewhat unusual October day. It was the first and very early snow in the mountains that came in this time of year. It was still autumn and nobody was in the mountains that day but me....
How very different and inviting the same place looks in summer I don't need to describe here. Just imagine it. But even in summer I really don't know how to get up there to the house by the rocks.
In addition: I am actually in love with colors in photography. This picture is different. Maybe you will turn a blind eye for this, if there is only little color in my latest picture. Hope you can at least enjoy a bit with me my newest photography. Don't have a look to long on it, other wise do you start to freeze.... haha....
Wishing all my wonderful friends a very special and peaceful winter time, lots of happiness and joyful moments with all your loved ones. I personally do not celebrate christmas but try to enjoy the more quite times of the year to go inside myself and listen to my heart. Thanks everyone for all your prescious time you gave me and my little work of love. Every word you have written on my fotostream means so much to me. Please take care of you my friends and we all looking foreward for better times to come.

The vase was made in Mexico and the flowers are wood chips. I photographed them through a glass ball, then cloned the stems out for the floating effect.

This is my submission for the 2016 edition of the "As We See It" book, a joint effort by a group of enthusiast photographers from all around the world, all members of the "Global Camel Committee" group in Flickr. Being a part of the production team makes me even more proud, this will be our 7th edition and I'm pretty sure that it's gonna be better than ever!
The photo is shot at the unbelievable Oppstrynsvatnet lake in Norway, which had provided me with some exceptional photos 18 years ago on my first visit and this time (keeping up with its great reputation) it provided me for two days in a row with an amazing combo of landscape, weather and light. I should officially pronounce it as my favorite place in Norway! Stay tuned and you'll see many more from this amazing place.
Αυτή είναι η συμμετοχή μου στη φετινή έκδοση του άλμπουμ "As We See It", μιας κοινής προσπάθειας ενός γκρουπ ενθουσιωδών φωτογράφων απ' όλο τον κόσμο, όλοι μέλη του γκρουπ " Global Camel Committee" στο Flickr. Ως μέλος της ομάδας που είναι υπεύθυνη για την παραγωγή του βιβλίου, αισθάνομαι κάθε χρόνο διπλά υπερήφανος! Αυτή θα είναι η 7η συνεχόμενη χρονιά που το εκδίδουμε και είμαι σίγουρος ότι θα είναι το καλύτερο μέχρι τώρα!
Η φωτογραφία τραβήχτηκε στην απίστευτη λίμνη Oppstrynsvatnet στη Νορβηγία, η οποία μου είχε χαρίσει μερικές αξέχαστες φωτογραφίες την πρώτη φορά που την είχα επισκεφτεί πριν από 18 χρόνια. Αυτή τη χρονιά (και προφανώς προσπαθώντας να διατηρήσει το καλό της όνομα) για δύο συνεχόμενες μέρες μου χάρισε έναν απίθανο συνδυασμό τοπίου, καιρού και φωτός. Θα πρέπει μάλλον να την αναδείξω ως το αγαπημένο μου μέρος στη Νορβηγία! Μείνετε συντονισμένοι και θα δείτε πολλές ακόμα απ' αυτό το υπέροχο μέρος.
This view is rendered unrealistic by the lack of ice and snow. Usually in this bay in southern Finland there is ice and snow in February. This year, things have been different. What might the future be like?
An unreal place. Hours of hike into a tunnel of colors, otherwordly rocks and unexpected cliffs. Coloured canyon, Sinai, Egypt.
Minolta Vectis S1, 28-56 mm lens used at 28 mm. 100 iso APS film.
Had to make a trip to Potsdam, NY for something unrelated to railfanning, but on the way home we made some time to shoot over to Balmat to check on some things. Hoping to find something a little more interesting than just tracks with no trains, THIS turned out to be better than a daydream come true! This old Lehigh Valley boxcar looks like its been here for more than 50 years!

I was trying to hold off posting autumn photos until I took some this year, but I can feel fall in the chilly morning air here in the mountains where I live, the leaves are starting to turn (just barely) and pumpkin spice is everywhere. So I'm diving into autumn! This was taken last year near Sedona.

On the way to so called 'Hoth After Dark' -club, Snowtroopers hit the site of Kylo Ren’s starfighter landing near them. Of course, being out of date pretty much everything, they don't have a clue whose Starfighter it is really.

I've had this Kylo's Starfiighter a long time. I didn't had intention to buy it, but local market sold it for 50 bucks, so how could i resist a offer like that?
