Another one of my global abstract pictures here where I am trying to convey a kind of Christmas feel to the picture with the heavenly star and atmosphere...
The sunset is taken over the River Wye near Ross-on-Wye, England and the space, stars and universal pictures were added in using Photoshop and Paintshop pro.

Another view of Universal City -looking down on Universal Studios. In the foreground you can see the top of the clock tower used in the "Back to the Future" movies.
The Universal City Overlook is only about a 10 minute drive into the hills from where I now live in Studio City. The Universal Studios theme park is in the right/center of the photo. The Harry Potter world opens soon, which I'm looking forward to.

Universal Studios Florida features six themed areas all situated around a large lagoon. This lagoon is home to Universal 360: A Cinesphere Spectacular, a seasonal fireworks display that showcases scenes from various Universal films, featuring lasers, projectors and fireworks. ~Wikipedia

much about the places i traveled in west africa was unfamiliar to me...the dress, the language, the food, the religions, the customs. but one of the things i love about travel is no matter how far away, we are able to see common threads in people across the world.
the two similarities most striking to me were the way children play, and the way mothers respond when their babies are crying.
this little boy, while chasing after siblings, had fallen and landed face first in a pile of sand and gravel. his mom kissed him so much that the majority of the sand wound up on her own face. no idea the words she was saying to him, but the sentiments communicated beautifully.

We enjoyed Universal Parks so much. One day is not enough to see all of Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure. Their rides are awesome!
We ended the day resting by this pond at Universal CityWalk while people were partying with a live band.
