The stone dike wall between the Niagara River and Unity Island’s North Pond in Buffalo, NY, September 20, 2019.
The dike was created as part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District's aquatic ecosystem restoration project and allows fresh water from the Niagara River to enter the pond, providing better connectivity for aquatic species.
