The second annual Unity Cup Family Day round robin competition.

Unity Temple, 1905-1908, Frank Lloyd Wright, 875 Lake St.

One of the most important Wright's building in the beginning of the 20th century. Many people think it's the first modern building. Concrete only. Double core: the taller side is the Temple, and the shorter side is the House. No window at the street side. Lighting mostly from roof windows with yellow and green stained glass.

Wright said when he designed this building, for the first time he realized that the true soul of a building is not wall but space.

Description

The mighty bride who is both cool and honest.

Following the release of Unity Yuno from the game created by Akifumi Ozawa, "Unity Marriage ~The Two Brides~", comes this figure of Unity Mei.

Her cool personality has been faithfully represented in her facial expression, while still keeping to the bold sculpting that was used for Yuno's figure - which means they look great when displayed together. Her large coat can be removed, allowing you to fully enjoy her bodyline which is visible through her beautiful kimono.

In 2012, Kamish Patrick’s (18) mother left him, his younger brother and his dad. In 2013, his father was taken to fight in a war in Unity State, and in 2015 he and his brother had heard rumours that his dad had died.

“My brother and I were upset and bitterly cried,” he says. “We did not know what to do.”

One month ago, in May 2017, Patrick and his brother saw his dad walking toward them in their village.

“All of us ran to welcome him since life without a parent is like a growing tree without pruning – will never grow straight,” says Patrick.

One of the Anglican Priests is paying for Patrick’s school fees because his father has just returned home and his salary is less than USD$20. Before the food distribution, Patrick and his brother struggled to find food. His brother would look for wild leaves and fruit for survival, and sometimes neighbours would help and give some food.

After the distribution, Patrick says the food improved his health and his studies because it isn’t easy to study when you’re hungry.

Violent unrest in South Sudan has caused thousands of people to flee their homes. General security remains tense, and there are many internally displaced people being hosted by relatives.

Through World Relief Canada, 2,660 households (approx. 17,290 people) are receiving food packages of maize meal, beans, oil and salt. Displaced households, as well as those hosting displaced people, are receiving packages.

This project also receives financial support from Presbyterian World Service & Development (PWS&D), Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada (C&MA), Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR) and Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada (EMCC).

The trees simply as trees represent unity, while their diminishing sizes and differentiating patterns provide variety.
