I was very lucky to shoot in an empty Unity Temple this week. This is still an active place of worship. The building was designed by Frank Lloyd Write and opened in 1908. It is considered the first "modern" building. My photos do no justice to the feeling in this room. Airy, yet quiet, with an amazing warm glow. Truly a beautiful place.

Beyond the heavens of the dream world lies the dream verse.
Crossing these spaces requires mathematical geniuses, one who navigates and another who calculates.
The two of them quickly figure it out and reach their destination in no time.

It's International Women's Day today! Hoping that someday women, including yours truly, won't feel minoritized enough to set aside a special day for themselves anymore. Let us unite to achieve egalitarian living.
Here's to everybody! Not only to the women, but to the men as well. A special mention to my boyfriend Dan Gideon. We'll be celebrating our second year as a couple soon. Mahal kita, my masiken!
Unity College students got a healthy dose of service on the annual alternative spring break trip. The nine day trip saw students opt out of traditional spring break plans and instead volunteer at organizations across Maine. They maintained trails in Waldo County, built a home for Habitat for Humanity in Portland, worked at the Volunteer Regional Food Pantry, and more.
This is at the other end of this ... What I discovered here is that the escalator is one-way. There is no down escalator. From here you have to ring a bell, and then explain that all you want to do is take photographs. After 5 pm it's OK, the escalator stops running, you can walk down the way you came up. But before that...you're looking down at an up-moving escalator, and or facing a closed glassdoor. Well, you just have to ring the bell and explain yourself! And then be escorted to the stairs to get down again.

We are already one. But we imagine that we are not. And what we have to recover is our original unity. What we have to be is what we are.

Even in death, the trees still portray unity. All of it show similarity in their shapes as if they are in unity. Let's hope that we are able to unite for a greater cause no matter the situation.

Unity Temple, 1905-1908, Frank Lloyd Wright, 875 Lake St.
One of the most important Wright's building in the beginning of the 20th century. Many people think it's the first modern building. Concrete only. Double core: the taller side is the Temple, and the shorter side is the House. No window at the street side. Lighting mostly from roof windows with yellow and green stained glass.
Wright said when he designed this building, for the first time he realized that the true soul of a building is not wall but space.
