During the COVID 19 pandemic in 2020, I decided to take this time to travel backward and revisit my old travel photos. I consider this project to be an important accomplishment during this difficult time.
Without a doubt, Bobo-Dioulasso is one of the most special cities I have seen in Burkina Faso and West Africa. I still think of it as a very special place in the world where I got a taste of a traditional African city mixed with French colonial elegance. While Bobo-Dioulasso is famous for its Sahel style Grand Mosque, the modern architecture of the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Lourdes is quite interesting. My guide drove by the cathedral for me to get a taste of the diversity of Bobo-Dioulasso and Burkina Faso before going to Gaoua.

The Ronald McDonald Centre Only Friends, supported by SALTO inside free2move.org project, is a unique sports center in Amsterdam and the first in West-Europe designed for children and youth with disabilities. The center focuses on the capabilities and strengths of their youthful athletes. Only Friends offers 19 different sports to provide an appropriate sport for everyone without exception, based on individual possibilities instead of limitations. More than 1.000 children and young people with disabilities do sports at the center, often assisted by an attendant per two or three. Hence, the Centre has a huge number of volunteers committed to maintain the Ronald McDonald Centre Only Friends.

who wants to exercise. We will follow the team during training and games. They haven’t played on high level yet but are ambitious to grow further as a team.
