We visited this unique landscape with mud volcanoes in Buzau Mts., Romania. Here are some more details about this place:
"The Berca Mud Volcanoes are a geological and botanical reservation located in the Berca commune in the Buzău County in Romania. Its most spectacular feature is the mud volcanoes, small volcano-shaped structures typically a few meters high caused by the eruption of mud and natural gases.
As the gases erupt from 3000 meters-deep towards the surface, through the underground layers of clay and water, they push up underground salty water and mud, so that they overflow through the mouths of the volcanoes, while the gas emerges as bubbles. The mud dries off at the surface, creating a relatively solid conical structure, resembling a real volcano. The mud expelled by them is cold, as it comes from inside the Earth's continental crust layers, and not from the mantle.
The reservation is unique in Romania. The mud volcanoes create a strange lunar landscape, due to the absence of vegetation around the cones. Vegetation is scarce because the soil is very salty, an environmental condition in which few plants can survive." (Wikipedia)

Something about seeing this struck me as funny. The cardinal appeared to be puzzled by the sundial bird.

The Supermaine Sptifire, the one plane that the German Luftwaffe feared the most over any other, and which proved itself during the Battle of Britain whose pilots were Brits, Polish, Czechs, Canadians to mention a few. Whats the infamous phrase..."Never was so much owed by so many to so few" ...To hear the roar of that Merlin engine is so unmistakable, its gives me goose pimples when one is lucky enough to hear as it flies low and fast..
Over thirty-five years ago - Doc and I were traveling north on the Alaska Highway and happened to reach an old lodge just in time for lunch. We popped in, and while enjoying a good home cooked meal we spotted this lamp warming a corner of the room. I fell in love with it and Doc asked if it was for sale. The reply was "no" it was homemade by one of the owners, using rocks from the nearby river bottom, and wood from the surrounding forest. The kind folks could see how much I loved it and decided to part with it - much to my delight. I have treasured it ever since. It stands almost two feet tall and like I said in my title - is quite unique. Have any of my Flickr friends come across an item that they couldn't resist? If so I would love to see it.

These unique earrings were fashioned out of sterling silver wire, which was shaped, hammered, coiled and woven into this beautiful nautilus shape. They have been adorned with shimmering stardust beads. This time, I've experimented and came up with a totally unique design. I hope they go over well!
These posts are made out of 20 gauge wire, so they will fit comfortably in all ears.
All metals used are sterling silver.
Measurement: 1 1/2 inches in length from the posts
Weight: 4 grams per earring
At sunset, in The Canadian Experimental Farm within the city you can find hundreds of unique & beautiful trees, like these ones!
This is a fascinating design for a restaurant and bar. The placement of the wood in the ceiling gives an interesting visual display. The theme of wood is continued in the rest of the room. The lighting setup is such that the main counter is the focal point and the periphery is less of the focal point. This gives it a more calm and relaxing feel.
The Y-shaped stairway that connects the three levels of San Marcos Avenue and Santa Rita Avenue. It was build circa 1912, when the Forest Hill neighborhood was developed.
Our uniqueness, our individuality, and our life experience molds us into fascinating beings. I hope we can embrace that. I pray we may all challenge ourselves to delve into the deepest resources of our hearts to cultivate an atmosphere of understanding, acceptance, tolerance, and compassion.

I really don't like those rims. They did have black Aventador Roadster rims, but they decided to take them off and put these on.
This is my tiny tiny girl Jeannie :)
It's difficult to capture her with eyes wide open haha, usually she has a dozy look - bedroom eyes - and this doesn't look very attractive on photographs :)))
If i could just show you with a photo how soft her fur is, you wouldn't believe it, i can tell you, it's enormously soft :D :D
She has a shy but very lovely nature, she's sometimes like a baby, never aggressive, always cuddly and clever, she's the only cat i know able to hug a human being (yes, she really does!!!), she's never begging for food but for love ... unique

The Black Gray Squirrel came from Canada, specifically from Rondeau Provincial Park, a peninsula in Morpeth, Ontario, that juts into Lake Erie.
The first batch of black squirrels — eight in number — was sent to the National Zoo in 1902 by Thomas W. Gibson, Ontario’s superintendent for parks. Smithsonian secretary Samuel P. Langley, in his report to Congress that year, wrote that the squirrels were accepted “in exchange,” and, indeed, checking Canadian records, the Washington Post discovered that Rondeau Park received an unspecified number of gray squirrels from the Smithsonian.
The black squirrel and the gray squirrel are the same species of squirrel: Sciurus carolinensis, a.k.a. the Eastern gray squirrel, the only difference being a color variation. The black squirrels evince a “melanistic color phase,” the recessive gene for black coloration coming to the fore.
The Canadian squirrels were released in the northwestern part of the zoo, “where they were very much at home,” according to the 1923 Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington. “They have since been constantly in the Park, especially from the vicinity of Klingle Valley, and they have spread northward to Cleveland Park and nearly to Chevy Chase.”
The zoo also released a second batch of black squirrels, which arrived in May 1906.
