Cadillac Ranch, Amarillo, TX, features colorful, graffiti-covered cars half-buried in a field under a cloudy sky.
Unique, chunky finch. Note the massive bill (steely gray in summer, pinkish in winter) and blue-gray hindneck, like a shawl on an orangey head. Broad white tail tip and white wing band show mainly in flight. Despite distinctive appearance, shy and easily overlooked. Favors mixed and deciduous mature woodland, especially with beech, oak, and hornbeam, where tends to feed and perch quietly, high in the canopy. Also feeds on the ground in autumn and winter, sometimes forming single-species flocks. Gives high-pitched “tsik!” and lower ticking calls.
Main Street Cellar Wine Bar in Manotick, a suburb of Ottawa on the Rideau River. The arcitecture here is fabulous, just like the wine lol! Best viewed large =)

I was checking out the garden a few evenings ago when I noticed these cool-looking clouds in the SW sky. If someone knows what this type of formation is called please comment.
This unique 18th century flour mill stands on the "Isle of Wedmore" a ridge giving commanding views of Cheddar Gorge the Somerset Levels and Brent Knoll. Earliest known reference of a mill here is 1317. The mill in the pic was built between 1760 and 1774. It stands 25 feet high and the stone walls are 2 feet thick - the sails being 44 feet across. The last mill stones used were 4 feet in diameter.

This was very interesting to see. Apparently it is an exclusive wedding venue, you can only arrive by boat. It does look rather unique.
Keukenhof est un très beau jardin de fleurs (32 hectares) avec plus de 7 millions de bulbes en fleurs chaque printemps. Symbole des Pays-Bas, il est un lieu unique dans le monde dédié à la tulipe.
Le parc de Keukenhof est situé à une distance proche d'une trentaine de kilomètres d'Amsterdam.
Keukenhof est l'un des plus grands jardins de fleurs au monde avec plus de 800 variétés différentes de tulipes et de nombreux autres types de fleurs qui fleurissent dans le parc chaque printemps.
Même les plus grands sceptiques sont impressionnés !
Le jardin est situé dans l'environnement boisé d'un château du 17ème siècle visible de l'autre coté de la route. Autrefois, le lieu était appelé Keukenduin, littéralement "la cuisine des dunes". Le nom Keukenduin vient du fait que les produits de la région des dunes, comme le gibier, le bétail et toutes sortes d'herbes et de baies, étaient destinés aux propriétaires du château. Pour ensuite devenir Keukenhof soit "Le potager" qui devait servir le château en légumes et en herbes aromatiques.
C'est 1949 que les jardins de Keukenhof sont créés sous l'impulsion du Maire de l'époque souhaitant valoriser le travail des horticulteurs. Depuis les producteur de bulbes de la région exposent chaque année leurs plus belles variétés de tulipes dans des massifs grandioses.

The garden is set in the wooded surroundings of a 17th century chateau visible across the road. Formerly, the place was called Keukenduin, literally "the kitchen of the dunes". The name Keukenduin comes from the fact that the products of the dune region, such as game, cattle and all kinds of herbs and berries, were destined for the owners of the castle. To then become Keukenhof or "The vegetable garden" which was to serve the castle with vegetables and aromatic herbs.
It was in 1949 that the Keukenhof gardens were created at the instigation of the Mayor of the time, wishing to promote the work of horticulturists. Since then, bulb producers in the region have exhibited their most beautiful varieties of tulips each year in grandiose beds.

Well I bought a space suit etc and then found this sim... and decided it spoke for itself. It's truly amazing... play with the windlights in here, but honestly, the ones they have are perfect. The shadow play in on this sim is stunning... HAVE FUN!!

Took this photo at the Toronto Botanical Garden last summer. Found this flower to be fascinating for it's uniqueness, having one white petal. My mother is named after this flower, making this extra special.

The Bass of Inverurie was a former motte and bailey castle. It was built by the Earls of Garioch in the 1100's. It is quite unique and an interesting find for me a few years ago.

Its always nice to find a unique photo position at big heritage events. After about an hour of waging war on the fast growing vegetation, I was able to just barely photograph 23 058 climbing the famed Geislinger Steige. Even with the camera held over my head a few annoying green leads remain but that was more than enough gardening for the day. A big thanks to the Ulmer Eisenbahnfreunden for the great event!
Es ist immer schön ein einzigartige Fotostelle bei Großveranstaltungen zu finden. Nach ein gute stunde in Kampf gegen der schnell gewaschenen Umkraut und Büsche, konnte ich mit Kamera hoch gehalten der 23 058 auf der erste Pendelfahrt des Tag erwischen. Ein paar grünen Ärgernisse bleibt aber das war genügend Gartenarbeit für der Tag. Danke an der UEF für der tolle Veranstaltung! Geislingen an der Stiege 09.07.22
The unique church of St. Nicholas in Horodysh was the oldest church building in Menshchyna. In 2016, the church was moved to the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life in Pirogov.
St. Nicholas Church was built in Horodysh in 1763, it consisted of a four-sided nave, an eight-sided hall and a six-sided altar. By the way, the structure was built without a single nail.
In 2016, the church was dismantled and moved to Pirogov. Only the foundation remained in Horodysh.
In the restored church, the walls are the same as in Horodyshche, and the outside is decorated with modern materials.
Унікальний храм Святого Миколая в Городищі, був найстарішою церковною спорудою на Менщині. У 2016 році церкву перевезли до Національного музею народної архітектури та побуту, що в Пирогові.
Свято-Миколаївська церква зведена в Городищі 1763 року, складалася з чотиригранного бабинця, восьмигранної зали і шестигранного вівтаря. До речі, споруду побудовали без жодного цвяха.
2016 року храм розібрали і перевезли до Пирогова. У Городищі залишився тільки фундамент.
У відреставрованої церкви стіни стоять ті, що й в Городищі, а ззовні оздобили сучасними матеріалами.
