In the middle of the Volcanic Eifel lies the waterfall Dreimühlen - it is considered the most beautiful in the entire region.
It was created about 100 years ago during the construction of the railroad tracks. Since then, it has been growing every year due to lime deposits.
I have been here before, the station buildings are now a private residence. It is great that Golspie has the railway passing through on a regular basis. Golspie Railway Station is located on the Far North Line. From here you are about a ten minute walk to the main street, Golspie Beach and about three miles from Dunrobin Castle should you fancy a longer walk. Dunrobin Castle has its own unique Railway Station so it is possible to combine the two of them and include a visit to the Castle when it is open for the season.

La semana pasada vinieron mi madre y mi hermana de visita. Como mi hermana se cortó el pelo por primera vez en... no sé ni cuantos años (lo tenía por la mitad de la espalda o mas largo), decidí hacerle una sesión de fotos con la cámara de /naeros.
Qué guapa es la cabrona de ella xD Esta foto me gusta especialmente porque me esperé a que dejara de posar para que saliera to natural ella. No había forma de hacerla sonreír, así que mi madre y yo nos dedicábamos a decir imbecilidades xD
A ver cuándo vuelvo a pillarla para hacerle más sesiones, que nos lo pasamos muy bien :) Además, ponerme detrás de la cámara es... no sé, liberador xDDD
This was the photo that received the most comments on my photoblog last year and one of my most favorites. I even made a poster out of it. It was taken at the Terminal 1, Pearson Intl. airport in Toronto.
It is a huge water tank with plastic cubes floating inside. very few of them are red and black, all the other ones are white. I am still searching for the meaning of this "art project". :-)
But for now, I think it fits the theme "The heart of flickr" perfectly. Not only it is my most favorited picture posted on flickr, but the colors and the red cube is almost like an explosion of flickr's logo. Not that I would want it explode or anything, but after looking at this shot for almost 2 years, it finally made sense. Can you see it too?
Back in Sept 2015 I had the unique opportunity along with a co-worker to do a river float on the Atnarko/Bella Coola River during the end of the salmon run; with the hopes of seeing some Grizzly bears feeding on the salmon.
Upon first arriving at the launch site - we saw this big ole boy on the far bank, a bit upstream,. He is known as Bent-ear - as he is missing a good chunk of his left ear.
Though he did not catch any salmon while we watched he did give us many good photo opportunities despite being somewhat back lit in the late day sun.

What a unique day Sunday turned out to be. A national holiday (Independance Day), although I heard a story on the radio that the Declaration Of Independance was actually penned on July 2, 1776, but we won't quibble since most folks got a holiday. I went pin-holeing in Skamania County with Donna and Doug to Beacon Rock , and an old cemetary among other places. I should have those shots in another year or so. My TTv also need some repairs.
The strawberries we ate from the city park landscape in Stevenson weren't enough to suffice, so I devoured half a chicken and a dandelion leaf salad, then settled in with my wife and the dogs to await the onslaught of fireworks. During a short respite from the explosions I took the dogs out and found 5 drunk teenagers(mostly girls) milling around my hedges. One of them was so plowed that he couldn't stand, and all of them lied to or swore at me right from the start. All it took was pulling out my cell phone, and threatening police action to get the truth and apologies flowing. It's a tough call since I did the same thing at their age, but the penalties are much more life altering than they used to be. I doubt any lessons were learned, but I think that the hangovers are going to linger longer than my admonishments, so... All in all a unique holiday.
Even though they are the same doll, they are each unique in their own way. Besides the different original outfits They seem to have their own personalities :)

The 394 is probably the most unique route in Hackney, as it doesn't follow the general trend and go through Clapton Square. It gets very busy and it could do with a frequency increase, but the roads it uses look very tight, so this is another route I look forward to completing.

The picturesque, ancient, fishing village of Clovelly is uniquely special and was once owned by the Queen of England. From Elizabethan days until today, Clovelly has been in private ownership, which has helped preserve its original atmosphere.
Clinging to a 400 foot cliff, it has no vehicular traffic, just donkeys and sledges. Its steep, cobbled street tumbles its way down to the ancient fishing harbour and C14th quay. It is a descent through flower-strewn cottages broken only by little passageways and winding lanes that lead off to offer the prospect of further picturesque treasures. It combines a rich environment and an historic village, with so much to see and explore.
This famous cobbled street, know as 'Up-a-long' or 'Down-a-long', was built of stones hauled up from the beach. Man-powered sledges transport all goods to the village, from groceries to furniture. Donkeys used to be the main form of transport for centuries, but now mainly give children rides around their meadow during the summer or can be seen posing for photographs in the street.

. The Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus), our national bird, is the only eagle unique to North America. The Bald Eagle's scientific name signifies a sea (halo) eagle (aeetos) with a white (leukos) head. At one time, the word "bald" meant "white," not hairless. Bald eagles are found throughout most of North America, from Alaska and Canada to northern Mexico. About half of the world's 70,000 bald eagles live in Alaska. Combined with British Columbia's population of about 20,000, the northwest coast of North America is by far their greatest stronghold for bald eagles.
There are two subspecies of Bald Eagles. The "southern" Bald Eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus leucocephalus, is found in the Gulf States from Texas and Baja California across to South Carolina and Florida, south of 40 degrees north latitude. The "northern" Bald Eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus alascanus, is found north of 40 degrees north latitude across the entire continent. The largest numbers of northern bald eagles are in the Northwest, especially in Alaska. The "northern" Bald Eagle is slightly larger than the "southern" Bald Eagle. Studies have shown that "northern" Bald Eagles fly into the southern states and Mexico, and the "southern" Bald Eagles fly north into Canada. Because of these finding, the subspecies of "northern" and "southern" Bald Eagles has been discontinued in recent literature.
