It's rush hour at Grant Tower in Salt Lake City, Utah • May 6, 2010

Utah Railway's RUT311 local has completed its work at Woods Cross, as it returns to Midvale Yard to tie up for the day.

Meanwhile, a Utah Transit Authority FrontRunner commute has departed Salt Lake Central station for Ogden and points north.

The Utah State Capitol Building, designed in Neoclassical revival, Corinthian style by architect Richard K.A. Kletting, was built on Capitol Hill at the north end of State Street between 1912 and 1916.

Stonehenge is perhaps the world's most famous prehistoric monument. It was built in several stages: the first monument was an early henge monument, built about 5,000 years ago, and the unique stone circle was erected in the late Neolithic period about 2500 BC. It’s on fbe Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England, two miles west of Amesbury. It consists of an outer ring of vertical Sarsen standing stones, each around 13 feet high, seven feet wide, and weighing around 25 tons, topped by connecting horizontal lintel stones. In this picture.you see, from inside the store circle, the "Heel Stone” as it appears in the distance, almost like a gunsight.and around the 21st of June, on the morning of the first day of the summer solstice the sun always comes up exactly on top of the “Heel Stone”, when it is viewed from this vantage point and shines on the legendary Stone Circle. Stonehenge is, without doubt, one of the most remarkable things I have ever experienced. As you’re looking at it, one of the most striking things you notice is the fact that there are absolutely no stones within sight, in any direction. All of these stones were brought there from far distant places, under incredibly difficult conditions and many centuries.

A la platja del poblet de Garraf es conserven unes precioses casetes de platja de principis del segle XX, totes de molts estils diversos, però compartint colors verd i blanc.

In the beach by the village of Garraf, there's a unique group of beach huts built in the early XX Century, and now preserved. Despite having different shapes all share the same palette of white and dark green.

Have a lovely day, everyone...

The first Point Arena Lighthouse was constructed in 1870.

In 1906 it was damaged in an earthquake.

It was reconstructed and resumed operation in 1908 and featured a 1st Order Fresnel Lens, seven feet in diameter and weighing 4,700 pounds. The lens is made up of 258 hand-ground glass prisms all focused toward three sets of double bulls eyes. It is these bulls eyes that gave the Point Arena Lighthouse its unique “light signature” of two flashes every six seconds. This incredible optic, that holds an appraised value of over $3.5 million

Artificial lights just started while last sunrays still reflecting stripes of clouds on winter sky.

A little bit of mirror imaging on a pedestrian walkway.

uniqueness of sun and sky....

A few years back I had a unique photographic experience. I came across 2 foxes that were running along the side of the road. They did not seem to mind my presence, and so I walked with them for about an hour, before they decided to split up and wonder down different trails in the park. I went with one of the foxes, and we walked down and back along a marsh trail for over an hour, he hunting for voles while I tried to capture the moments. During that hour he caught 14 voles (hungry fellow) and provided me with over 500 pictures during the 2 1/2 hours I spent in total with the two of them...

Unique sight of one of the most beautiful (if not the most) plane in the world. I waited this shot for a long time and finaly we got an unbelievable luck to catch it at the RIAT. It can say it : it's my favorite plane in the world. I will remember this shot for a long time. Thanks to the RIAt and the QAF. 22/07/2019

The Wirral Railway ran from Birkenhead Park to West Kirby and New Brighton. This is the only location the railway crosses the road by a bridge.

The unique, surreal, stunning, incredible landscape of Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon on the south coast of Iceland. Part of the locations charm is every day is unique, and this was a fun late in the day shoot with huge blocks and big waves. Froze my feet and nearly got doused several times but way too much fun not to dash between the water and ice.

Looks best on black.

Comments as always appreciated, but please no flashy award codes.

Seen while out walking. I'm not very good at plant ID at any time much less this one, but it did strike my attention while walking by.

Your uniqueness is your identity, don't lose it. To be noticed in a crowd, you have to be different from everyone else.

In the middle of the Volcanic Eifel lies the waterfall Dreimühlen - it is considered the most beautiful in the entire region.

It was created about 100 years ago during the construction of the railroad tracks. Since then, it has been growing every year due to lime deposits.
