As a child/teenager I had overbite. Overbite can be corrected with braces. I tried braces, but I've still got overbite. To compensate, I've now got a fish with UNDERbite - well I've got 5 of these beautiful creatures: Albino Dermogenys pusilla/Wrestling halfbeak less than 2 inches long, but they will grow :-)

By using devices like braces, orthodontists are able to straighten teeth for both aesthetic and functional reasons. Orthodontists also perform specialized procedures such as oral surgeries, and they treat dental abnormalities. Correcting an overbite or underbite won’t just improve the function of the …

From The Car Connection (http://www.thecarconnection.com/review/1038730_2010-honda-cr-v) -

Depending on how you see it, the exterior of the 2010 Honda CR-V is understatedly attractive, plain, or a little weird. The rounded overall shape with a mix of sheetmetal creases and arcs looks well proportioned from some angled but awkward from others. On the upside, MotherProof reports being lured in by “graceful curved lines and subtle hardware” Cars.com also likes how the "subtle creases on the bodyside and around the wheel wells also help the CR-V avoid the slab-sided look of early-generation SUVs." Car and Driver says the new CR-V's "styling may not please everyone." And to a number of critics, the CR-V just doesn’t look appealing. Motor Trend points out, "It's more jelly-bean-shaped, far more emotional in its details.” The reviewer points to headlights that “flare-back like an extreme facelift,” and notes how the “pursed-mouth grille is now slightly opened, as if it might snap at you." Cars.com also notices that it "has an underbite," though "from every other angle the CR-V's design shines." Edmunds calls it "sort of weird-looking," and Kelley Blue Book agrees, noting that the side profile is “dramatically different than past CR-Vs."

Inside, the CR-V strikes a better design balance and should appeal to nearly everyone. The upright instrument panel is a bit too upright and butch-SUV in styling, but it uses some pleasant contrasting materials and bright accents. For the most part, reviewers like what they see. Cars.com reports that "Honda has really found its stride with interiors lately," and the "dash is perfectly executed," noting that the CR-V "opts for a more straightforward side-by-side setup with an informative digital display wedged between the speedometer and tachometer." Edmunds' assesses that "the best attribute of the CR-V is its attractive yet practical cabin design." Motor Trend is not at all in love, however, saying, "the gauges and controls would make sense to somebody raised by wolves and suddenly plopped behind the wheel."

Conclusion

The exterior styling of the 2010 Honda CR-V will be off-putting for some shoppers, but the interior is more likeable.

First one is Annie the Persian, second is one I've posted here before known as Stout Cat, third is average typical shorthair cat. All are adults. First two were much older than last one & yet their breed is significantly smaller. First two also have larger eye orbits & mandible underbites. Stout Cat is like seeing what the two outer cats can create if bred. I suspect it had some Persian in the mix.

This started off as a man sitting on the underbite of the last drawing on nick's board. Then I converted the smile into a canoe, drew a gay indian, and lots of people added things.

She is such a stunner <3 I cant believe it took me so long to catch on to these girls! I've also really come to live reading their diaries. I really wish I had Spectra's. But I was so psyched to find Abby in her winter outfit, I've only seen her Skull Shores in store and I think this outfit fits her better :) I also love her features, especially her underbite and her strong jaw. Yes I'm a crazy doll lady.

This is a story that surely all readers would know without hearing it from me, but I thought it was my duty to post it so that future generations can learn the tale. Without further ado, allow me to present the story of Yertli.

In late June 2008, three alien spacecrafts landed on Earth – one in Moscow, one in New York City, and another in Sydney. After landing, they were surrounded by huge crowds and the incident was all over newspapers, television, radio, and the internet. Everything seemed to stop as the world waited to make contact.

After that week, a single extra terrestrial exited the ship in New York to an ocean of gasps. The extra terrestrial was a Caucasian gentleman with short, black hair, sunglasses, and a tuxedo. He was carrying a briefcase in one hand, and a shovel in the other. There were 20 seconds of silence that seemed like 20 years of silence. Finally, he spoke: “Let’s Bowl…”

Meanwhile, Yertli was practicing at a sleazy bowling alley in the NYC projects. He wasn’t rich, and he wasn’t well-known, but his special golden rope arms theoretically gave him a significant advantage when bowling. When he saw those now famous words on the bowling alley TV, he finally knew his destiny. It was to be the first ever intergalactic bowl-off, and he wouldn’t miss it for the world.

When Yertli came forth to volunteer his services, he was met with cynicism and even derision. He offered to prove himself in a bowl-off with some of the world’s best in order to determine who would go one-on-one with the alien. When the day came, and he was at the alley with his multinational colleagues, he used his extendable arm to grab a knife and kill each and every one of his competitors. This wasn’t the traditional way of proving one’s self, but after the incident there was no other choice but to allow him to represent the planet. The alien was growing impatient, as evidenced by the fact that he had started smashing nearby onlookers in the face with his shovel. Yertli was chosen out of sheer necessity.

The day of the intergalactic bowl-off was July 15th, and it was televised live worldwide. Everyone was awake and glued to their TV screens. Yertli was up first, and he hit two pins. The world let out a collective groan; this did not bode well for civilization. Yertli on the other hand, was pleased with himself, considering that this was only the second time he had ever bowled. The alien was up next, and he threw a gutter ball. The world then knew that they were about to witness the worst bowling match of all time.

And that they did. No strikes or spares, just one or two pins at a time if they were lucky enough to avoid the gutter. In the end, Yertli came out on top, and the alien businessman fell to his knees and dissolved into a pile of blue powder. The ships lifted off and flew away, presumably into space, and haven’t been seen since.

A chili and art festival in Cabbage Town, ATL

June 26, 2009 (Petaluma, CA) – As the crowd chanted “Pabst, Pabst,” the celebrity judges deliberated between the so-named boxer-mix shelter dog and Rascal, a former world champion Chinese Crested to determine who would be the 2009 World’s Ugliest Dog Champion tonight at the Sonoma-Marin Fair. First timer Miles Egstad from Citrus Heights, California was stunned at Pabst’s win. “ I don’t think he’s that ugly!” he said of his boxer mix whose under bite was his most compelling physical feature. His sweet personality made him an audience favorite.

The Chinese Crested breed has dominated the contest for more than seven years and in this year’s contest represented more than 50% of the 2009 entries in the pedigree class. But Pabst, who was given his name because he had a “ bitter beer face”, according to his owner quickly won the crowd and the judges soon followed. Egstad, 25, first saw the contest on television and his friends urged him to enter his dog.

Egstad won $1,600 from the Sonoma-Marin Fair for sweeping all three rounds ($100 for mutt class, $500 for runoff with the pedigree class winner, and $1,000 for World’s Ugliest Dog). This year sponsor House Of Dog upped the ante with another $1,000 in prize money, a table of “bling” that included collars, leashes, and bowls plus a year-round modeling contract that Pabst signed with his paw. Event Photographer Grace Chon included a professional photo shoot.

Pabst was a rescue dog adopted by Egstad three years ago. It was the first time a “mutt” has won the contest in more than seven years. Halligan who is a vet, performed the screening for contestants to make sure all the animals were healthy. Contestants this year had to provide veterinarian releases documenting the health of their dogs. As Judge and Fair Board Member Brian Sobel says, “We were looking for dogs who were naturally ugly.” And Pabst was.

The hoopla surrounding the contest included celebrity judges Karen “Doc” Halligan known for her television roles in Groomer Has It, Dog Tales, Animal Rescue 911 and Dogs 101. Dogs 101 shot the show for airing on the Animal Planet network this fall. Halligan was joined by Jon Provost known for playing the part of Timmy on Lassie. Brian Sobel, a Sonoma-Marin Fair board member, sat in the third judge’s seat. The local humane society was present with its adoption wagon. The fair also staged an Ugly is the New Beautiful Fashion Show with rescue dogs and models.

The World’s Ugliest Dog Contest is in its 21st year and has been trademarked by the Sonoma-Marin Fair.

Lily in our new super stripe dog sweater

This is Doogin, an 8 year old male Labrador Retriever mix. Doogin is an absolute love. He came to us from Animal Control, where visitors and lookers routinely passed him by. Perhaps it was his age. At eight years, Doogin bears the little dings and nicks and scars that accumulate with time. He's a grand old soul, that's for certain. We've listed Doogin as a Labrador retriever mix, but Great Dane comes to mind when he turns his marvelous head. Then there's his winsome underbite, which makes Doogin look like he's always smiling. It's a safe bet to say that Doogin hasn't led the easiest life. At present, we're treating him for heartworms. While he recuperates, our staff and volunteers walk him slowly along our shaded trails, for which he seems ever so grateful. To sit on a bench next to Doogin, rubbing his silky ears and hearing his gentle sighs, ranks among the finest moments of our day. He's that special. If your heart goes out to older dogs, Doogin will surely break it. Rarely have we met a dog so sweet, so gentle, and so deserving as Doogin. Come meet him.

I volunteered at PAWS Atlanta. I took photos of some of the dogs and cats that need homes. I thought I'd also remind people you can find great pets at shelters and in rescue groups. And of course, help control the pet population, please spay and neuter your pets!!

We all know about traditional braces. They have big brackets and lots of metal. But, they do have some fun, colored rubber bands that you can swap out! Well, as exciting as that sounds, Invisalign in Westminster CO may be better suited for your lifestyle. So, keep reading to learn more:

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment. Instead of brackets and wires, Invisalign is a series of clear aligners, similar to a retainer. Over the weeks, you will swap out trays that exert pressure on different places of the mouth. This’ll gradually shift your teeth.

Am I a Candidate for Invisalign?

The great thing about Invisalign is that most people are candidates! If you have an overbite, underbite, crowding, or gaps, Invisalign may be an option for you. But, you also need to be able to wear the Invisalign for at least 22 hours a day. So, take your lifestyle into consideration before opting for Invisalign.

Is Invisalign Better than Braces?

Both Invisalign and Braces are extremely effective. So, when it comes to choosing which one you should get, it really comes down to preference. Also, in most cases, Invisalign is best for simpler cases, with more extreme cases doing better with other forms of orthodontics. So, you really need to have a conversation with your dentist to determine which is best for you.

Sorry about the blurriness, it was pouring rain outside, and so she didn't want to go run out in the yard, so she just sat there on the back stairs doing the puppy eyes for like 1/2 hour! She was so cute, but the window so dirty....lol

Her hair is growing in so fast! Look at those bangs! There in her eyes again!...And i forgot to put the bow-clip in to keep them out!

After two weeks in the powerchain the small gaps between upper 2-2 have closed about half way. My lower teeth are now slightly in front of my uppers due to the new wires. My underbite will continue to become more apparent like this until I have surgery to correct this.

No one can resist her pleading look

I found this cat on a roof; he wanted some affection, but he was just out of reach.

My Parents had a get together today to celebrate the birthdays of Marc Andre (1!), my Brother (22!) and my Aunt...the graduation of my cousin Josh (from FHS) and the anniversary of my Grammie and Grampy (58 years!)

This is my Aunt's dog, Lucky. He has the cutest underbite ever.

Gruber has an underbite and sometimes his tooth gets stuck outside his lip... and then you can for sure see the relation to the English Bulldog haha... cute, but not all that pretty

We got Senna late last night. He's a sweetie who's just chilled and given a few kisses here and there. He appears housetrained which is wonderful since I'm trying to keep my personal crate for my chihuahua. I am worried about 2 lumps that are on his chest near his ribs, one is malleable. He's very bony and it's hard to tell what might be a lump and what is just his bony ribs and pelvis. Lorie says he's hardly put on any weight while he was with her, which she attributed to intestinal worms (which he's been treated for) or his cough (on antibiotics), but he hasn't had much of an appetite around here which is surprising since I free feed. He doesn't have diarrhea and hopefully his appetite will improve as he gets more used to our place. He settled in amazingly well considering we also just got Independence and my personal pup can be a little wary about new dogs. He loves the puffy pillow we got him from Ross and loves laying out on our couch. He hasn't really offered much play or bowing, I hope he gets his wiggle as he gains weight and starts to feel better. Lorie, luckily he hasn't been too much of a cry baby, only when he's inside and can't figure out the dog door to get out to the yard when we're out there. I love his long face, propped ears, and underbite!
