Beauty grows under the trees

Softly blowing in the breeze

Ready to bloom, open wide

Filled with love ,deep inside

As it rises against the green

Where its beauty, flowers like a dream

A view from under a bridge over the River Medlock in Daisy Nook Country Park. I went off the well beaten "photographers" track of Sammy's Pool / Crime View Lake and discovered a lot more different photo opportunities.

Mainframe Gallery, Des Moines, Iowa

This is a collection of white molded pottery sculptures of species that the artist considers under ecological pressure, displayed at the Mainframe Galleries. The work was created by students of the Central Academy's Pottery Studio, who worked under the direction of the artist, Jamie Milne. For viewers interested in a more detailed description there is a nice write-up in dsm magazine at dsmmagazine.com/2022/11/15/under-pressure/

in tozai line, between two stations... candid shot

Just after sunset had finished on Saturday evening I'd packed my camera away and stood to wait to watch the ISS and Space X Dragon Rocket fly past the moon.

It wasn't until the ISS had flown past that I realised it would be a good shot to have the Dragon flying through my composition. Unfortunately, it was too faint to see so I missed out on that and the ISS.

Still, I ended up with this shot that I quite like and it served as a reminded never to pack your camera away too early after a shoot, you never know what will happen!

Newport Beach, California

In the intricate fabric of our language lies a phrase that speaks to the essence of human connection—'take you under my wing.' Its origin, much like the graceful spread of a protective wing, harks back to the nurturing care of birds shielding their young. This expression beautifully encapsulates our capacity to offer guidance, support, and shelter to those in need. We find ourselves, at different points in our lives, in varied roles: sometimes the guardian, extending our wing to shield and mentor others, and sometimes the fledgling seeking solace and wisdom, yearning to be taken under the comforting embrace of another's wing. It's a testament to the cyclical nature of our human experience—where giving and receiving support intertwine, shaping our collective journey towards empathy, resilience, and growth.
